  1. You can see all the spots available on the link they send out. Seems similar to what previous years' threads were saying. Might be more than one round of interviews though? No idea.
  2. Some interview invites were sent out this morning! I applied on the last day (oops) just got the email. Looks like there's 90 spots for interviews
  3. Just how strict are they with their July 9th deadline for prereqs? I finish literally on the 10th LOL I’m going to cry
  4. Just got my acceptance at 1pm today, so they’re definitely still sending out decisions!
  5. Very specific question, but does anyone happen to know for international transcripts verified by ECE, which type does mt sinai want - the general or course-by-course one?
  6. Haha I have no idea, I keep making up rules in my head to make sense of things. I’m just glad they started accepting people again. And Congrats to everyone who got in!! Very exciting!!
  7. Do they usually release acceptances once a week, Mondays? Or throughout week? Just so I can stop obsessively refreshing my email LOL
  8. I hope you’re right. I would really like to never see a Chem or Physics question in my life again..!!
  9. Oh wow, part of passing the class is taking and passing the HESI exam? am I getting this right from the syllabus?
  10. They asked me like a week before I got my acceptance!
  11. Yes, but a screenshot of blackboard grades worked too
  12. I really think they are behind on sending acceptances for the fall (maybe it’s just wishful thinking). I plan on sending a letter of continued interest as soon as I’m done with pre-reqs, going to just wait and try to manage anxiety about it until then LOL. Seriously though, there’s so many reasons why we haven’t heard back yet: they might not be sending many more acceptances until applications close mid May.. they might be waiting for the bulk of us to finish Spring semester and see our final grades for prereqs.. they’re still working on finishing Summer cohort and that clearly takes precedence since the sem is starting in a few weeks.. (Not that everyone uses fb, but) The fb group for Summer has 40 members while the one for Fall has 8, so statistically speaking, the bulk of acceptances couldn’t have been sent out yet. Hang in there, we’re going to be OK!!
  13. Yess! May 2023, def not right, but I don’t think it matters
  14. I started a facebook group for anyone that’ll be attending NYU interested in connecting with the Fall 2021 cohort early on: https://www.facebook.com/groups/2930948600497162/?ref=share
  15. I've read that it's between 100-150 each cohort, one Summer, one fall, so they graduate 200-300 students each year.
  16. @EdaTheInfermiere you make some good points, it's just tough to ignore the strong criticism completely you know.. I'm sure with Covid things were hard on everyone at all schools. Is there any info on remote vs. in person classes / clincals in the acceptance package that you wouldn't mind sharing with us?
  17. can someone please confirm that clinicals will be in person? Admin being this disorganized and not communicating critical info like this is starting to scare me. Can def already see the patterns of chaos everyone in the 2020 forum described. Also, don't know if everyone else knew this, but I just found out the new location is in East Harlem. Wondering if classes going are going to be mostly online or at the new location..if anyone in the current cohorts knows? I'm still waiting to hear from PSON (got into NYU) but as I am going through the PSON Fall 2020 forum I keep reading terrible terrible reviews from current students. Anyone have some updates on the current academic/clinicals situation? are profs still leaving? are they slowly getting more organized? Below is one of the worst ones I read from @psonstudent "I am in PSON right now and advise others to stay away. Yes, it is cheaper than NYU, but its just not worth it. The program is a scam, you teach yourself EVERYTHING. Professors are awful at communicating, make bad grading errors which they refuse to change, and don't know the material well enough to give it over. PSON would hire a tree willing to teach for them, it feels like a babysitting agency. Additionally, the admin staff are not accommodating, and don't care that all lectures this semester were in an auditorium bc we don't have a school. Our class size is 110 instead of the advertised 50, in order to fund their new building. No one works in the school, all their staff leave one by one due to the conditions and the mess that this school is. Financial aid has been unstaffed for 2 months, leaving students without their loans taken out to cover rent. The reason you all havent heard back is because no one works there, no joke. There is now one person left managing financial, admissions, all classes and clinicals etc GO SOMEPLACE ELSE IF YOU VALUE YOUR DIGNITY AND MENTAL HEALTH!"
  18. @Abnurse96 @FutureRN100000 Congrats both!! Just wondering, do you still have pre-reqs in progress or are you completely done?
  19. Sure @tomatotin I think I applied in the beginning of February. B.S in Econ from an ivy, prerequisite GPA 3.9ish IDK still have a couple in progress, all done at a community college because it was cheaper. I really think strong extracurriculars can offset GPAs this year especially!! Medical assistant 1 year, certified EMT, pediatrics volunteer, community service playing piano at a nursing home, shadowing a couple MDs in psych inpatient, wrote a chapter for Stahl’s pharmacology book, upper management position in my previous life (the spooky, scary business industry), 2 LORs.
  20. Same, going to start researching today. Wondering how long we have to decide and send in deposit. My acceptance letter doesn’t say anything. Does anyone know if the Summer semester costs less than Fall/Spring one? Trying to figure out total cost of program.
  21. @AllisonJoyy do you still feel like it was worth it? Yeah, personal loans and high interest rates are terrifying to think about, but I guess that’s really the only way to do it..
  22. Got my acceptance today at 2:23pm too. Disappointed about their scholarship/fin aid offer, but I guess that should’ve been expected from NYU right? LOL. Anyone else wondering how they’re actually going to pay for this program? congrats to everyone else who got in and fingers crossed for those still waiting!!
  23. Same here! I still have prereqs in progress though so that might have something to do with it.
  24. Have people who still have prereqs in progress heard back yet? Does PSON do conditional admissions?
  25. @Andy C wow congrats!! Is this your top choice? Do you mind sharing when you applied?
