  1. I actually had 2 interviews recently and got a job offer ..HOWEVER...I started applying for jobs in April and applied at roughly 12 different hospitals and several community health centers. Don't get me wrong, I'm thrilled to have a job, but it's still discouraging. Part of the issue is that many students got their positions where they did their preceptorship..I got the run around at mine (political) and I think the lack of preceptors at institutions is another issue.
  2. Hi Carrie..Congrats! I'm curious, how much time did you take after the Anderson review to study before scheduling the test.
  3. 4 (or 2) weeks to get the ATT and then you can schedule your test date.
  4. Hi, I was wondering the same so called Pearsonvue and I was told 4 weeks. I then contacted my school and was told they sent our applications Monday and that it can take up to two weeks. Hope that helps and good luck!!
  5. Thanks Kanzi monkey for those specifics, that's helpful!
  6. Thank you for your insight. I was wondering...do you have a sense of which hopitals are more amenable to hiring new grads? I've heard/read that B&W is difficult to get into and that unless you get accepted into BMC's new grad program, they will not hire you. As I said, I've looked on-line and 99% of positions do require experience. I've looked at Faulkner, CHA, BI, St. E's and SS hopitals. Found out today that QMC is actually laying nurses off.
  7. I'm in Boston. I know it's a good idea to send resumes..I'm just a bit discouraged b/c all of the positions I've seen require 1-2 years exp.
  8. Hi...I will be graduating with my BSN in May..our professors have said to start sending resumes. Unfortunately I see NO jobs for new grads at the hospitals. Any idea when they hire? Or if they hire?
