BMCC NURSING PROGRAM FALL 2021
Can't tell you exactly, and even if I could, the questions are from a bank and vary from person to person. that being said, every single question I got was word for word from the practice tests on NurseHub. Do yourself a favor and buy that. I used basically only NurseHub to prep for the HESI and got a 100 on both math and anatomy, and then a 94 on reading comp because I was so excited about getting those 2 100's I didn't care about reading comp as much. NurseHub got me my 97% overall score.

BMCC NURSING PROGRAM FALL 2021
My friend who got into the Fall 2020 cohort (the one without the HESI) checked for me and she received her email on June 30th. Insane to me that it still took them so long, considering that cohort was only judged on their GPAs and nothing else. Like why can't she just have put that in excel and sorted by highest GPA lmao. But whatever...I just hope it happens by next week, but im not gonna hold my breath LOL.

BMCC NURSING PROGRAM FALL 2021
Oooh, I never noticed that! I didn't even realize if you pressed that little + symbol that it would expand to how you did on each section, I thought the only breakdown was that bar graph. I wonder! Edit: I do think it might actually be the class average of our particular school, because when I opened how I did on math it gave my score, the national score, and then the class average, all 3 different numbers. If it wasn't the class average and was part of the national score, it wouldn't have been included I'm guessing

BMCC NURSING PROGRAM FALL 2021
Also, my proctor relayed a message from (MODERATOR EDIT OF NAME): we will know by mid-June at the latest if we're accepted or not. We have a mandatory orientation, I think first week of July. She also mentioned that yvonne does not want anyone emailing her about if theyre in or not LOL but what else is new?

BMCC NURSING PROGRAM FALL 2021
I took my exam yesterday and the proctor/professor said the last exam is on Saturday! only about 11 people took it with me on Thursday at 9am, and 2 people didn't show up.

BMCC NURSING PROGRAM FALL 2021
honestly, no I don't think so. the PCI courses are pretty straight forward, especially for the day program - VERY simple nursing math, basic psychology, basic english composition, anatomy. I would really recommend taking both anatomy courses (or being in the process of the second one) before you take your HESI.

BMCC NURSING PROGRAM FALL 2021
Well, all nurses does not allow you to write names, so my recommendations would just come up as a bunch of stars LOL. That being said, there are some great professors at bmcc -- but you have to look and do your research. and I could recommend a great teacher who worked with my learning style, but it might not work with yours. I used rate my professor and have had fine professors. just read the comments there, take everything with a grain of salt, and have professors in mind before registration has opened. the best professors tend to be snatched up quickly, and because cuny loves to underpay their professors, many are adjunct and do not stay for more than one or two professors. for example, I had an amazing A&P 1 professor, (MODERATOR EDIT OF NAME) but she is no longer teaching at bmcc as of right now. good luck!

BMCC NURSING PROGRAM FALL 2021
I've been using nursehub, pocket prep, quizlets, the HESI book, and then I bought another book thats just 3 full practice tests. I'm feel like 80% confident with A&P...depending on the area. sometimes I take practice tests and I consistently get in the high 90's...but then if they ask me a bunch of questions about the ears or eyes I do sooo poorly LOL. cannot get the sense organs to stick in my brain at all! the 5th grade math is no joke LOL. I've been struggling hard with the linear equations...also when do we have to solve for Y in nursing? I would love to know! If anyone needs help with fractions though, they are one of the few things I'm really good at in math LOL so I can for sure help! silvia who is also in this group taught me this mnemonic for the household measurements which I wasnt able to memorize until this: 1 General hospital, there are 4 Quiet rooms, with 2 Patients each, and each Patient has 2 cups of orange juice basically, 1 gallon = 4 Quarts = 2 pints = 2 cups !!

BMCC NURSING PROGRAM FALL 2021
Hi! I was just wondering where you got the info for what bmcc is testing on...the HESI at BMCC does not typically include grammar or vocabulary. The topics BMCC tests for are A&P, math, critical thinking, and reading comprehension, at least according to the department.

BMCC NURSING PROGRAM FALL 2021
Wow, thank you SO much for this info! super, super helpful. About the HESI science portion, were you only tested on A&P? I've been getting overwhelmed trying to remember everything I learned in physics, chem, and bio..and then I realized on the website it only signifies that we're tested on A&P. Would you say thats accurate?

BMCC NURSING PROGRAM FALL 2021
Hey y'all! I'm also applying to the fall 2021 day program... I have gotten only A's in all my PCI grades, and A's in non-pci courses as well, so I am less concerned about my bmcc GPA. However, I'm 30 and when I first went to college as an idiotic 18 year old, I took a semester of courses and just...didn't go apparently LOL. I have no memory of this, but it sunk my 4.0 to mid-3's when I calculated it. I'm worried this will prevent me from getting into the BMCC program, is it true that they only consider your PCI grades? also, I get SUPER bad testing anxiety and missed the deadline to take the HESI this Winter, which I was hoping to do as a practice. I'm wondering if there's a way I can take it before the may deadline, as a "practice". Does anyone know if you can take the HESI without being attached to a certain school? I know bmcc only allows you to take it once per semester, so I want my scores from May to really count and be as high as possible. I know myself, and I usually do much better the second time around, because I am more acquainted with how the exam works. I have loads of practice test books, but they just aren't the same as sitting for the actual test.
