  1. Hello from Colorado everyone! Little late to the thread, but I also applied and was selected by the commissioning board for FY24. Now just anxiously waiting to hear back from Baylor like the rest of you. I've been a CVICU nurse for eight years, have a wife and three kiddos. Question for anyone in the program or has previously completed. I'm a current reservist and have completed DCC and BOLC. I'm told I won't have to repeat these courses. However, I'm wondering if I'll get orders to PCS in January/February and just report daily/pull staff duty until the course begins in June (seems the more likely option) Or will do they delay your PCS until April/May? I requested an invite to the facebook group as well. Looking forward to talking and meeting each of you!
  2. Sorry should have said I already have my CCRN. Again I so appreciate your insight and willingness to help others trying to sift through this process!
  3. Stumbled across these threads in my search for more information about the USAGPAN. After reading through the 2020 and 2021 posts, I have to say MikeyD... you are the man. I’m currently a 66S with the reserves, and am looking to apply in 2022 after completing OChem (most likely through ICCC Online) and the GRE. To the best of anyone’s knowledge, outside of the CCRN, does much weight get put into other professional accomplishments? Charge nurse, committee/project involvement, Daisy/Nightingale nominations, etc.? I’m fairly involved at my current hospital, but if this participation doesn’t help me achieve my goal of acceptance into the program then I would rather refocus my efforts to studying. As a reservist, I will already have completed DCC and BOLC prior to my application. If I were to be accepted, would I start in June like it sounds like VA students do or would I just repeat?
