I was accepted during early decision and my CAS application never said anything after verified, it doesn’t update after they notify you. I had my interview on 12/18 and received an email of acceptance on 1/6 @ 720pm EST. It is Spring Break so maybe they have the week off? I know they are assigning faculty advisors in April so you should be finding out your admissions status soon- good luck everyone!

Do you think the 3 and 4 year students could connect in the same facebook group? It looks like we have some of the same courses first term! Thanks for creating the group!

Would anyone who got in be interested in connecting on social media? I got into the DNP-FNP 3 year program. I’m tentatively planning to move to Baltimore for the program. Would love to have a group to be excited with!!

Sevensonnets- have you seen the boomer posts on this thread or did you just read mine and decide to take it personally? If you received your MSN 40 years ago then you know most of your boomer colleagues had diplomas- this is a fact and not denigration. Plenty of posts on here about how millennials came into the work place and refused assignments, etc. this is absolutely related to what is now taught in nursing school. If you actually read some of the posts I was responding to you would understand why I’m flummoxed by boomers- your post no exception...such hypocrites to play victim in a smear thread...while you try to slyly denigrate the “12 paths to a BSN” as if yours was the better one. I have an MSN and did traditional brick and mortar at a state school, I also work in nursing education and the multiple paths to get there are equivalent in merit to the traditional path.

To summarize for anyone just joining the conversation : the OP (an obvious boomer who won’t know what OP means) is complaining about Tik Tok and trash talking a general sense of what they consider a millennial to be. As a millennial I find the boomers trash talking to be so weird. I could not imagine trash talking the people who are being born today (they’ll be 30 when I’m 60 so similar age gap). If anything I will be advocating for them, admiring them, applauding them. The boomers on this thread are a testament to the BSN degree- most of them had diplomas and they are COMPLAINING that newer nurses (more likely to have BSN) came in and advocated for safer hospitals/units/etc. per normal boomer behavior they are drawing in all sorts of things that don’t compare like blind foxes, politics, tik tok videos, and nursing skills. boomers- it’s OK to be a new nurse, it’s OK to advocate for good working environments and patient safety, it’s OK to enjoy social media. We don’t wear white hats and bow to physicians anymore and that’s a good thing. OP there is no Google image you can screenshot into this thread that’s going to sell your mean and incorrect argument. You’re not here for anyone and you certainly aren’t humble in your righteous opinion of how ALL nurses should act. I seriously could not imagine dictating to all nurses how they all should act - it’s literally absurd but here you are doing it and complaining that people don’t agree. And calling people sheep for arguing- that’s an oxymoron! Fitting for a moronic post.

“Be humble” as you try to chew an entire group out. Do you think you’re above anyone on tik tok because of your anonymous allnurses post? Are you more professional? This is just an insane rant that is more embarrassing than anything on tic tok. Self righteously judging the motives of others for entering the profession and how they interact on social media. These two things shouldn’t be compared- systemic racism and affirmative action. Affirmative action in higher education recognizes that traditional criteria considered “merit” for admissions committees- GPA, extracurricular activities, etc - are a product of socioeconomic status and not a reflection of the quality of the applicant. A 4.0 or higher MCAT score is more likely the result of a two parent, middle or high class family, well funded school in a suburb. A lower MCAT score and GPA is more likely the result of not having the resources described above. Going on the traditional “merit” criteria alone boxes out lower socioeconomic people but it doesn’t give schools the best people. There is so much talent, intelligence, life experience, and empathy not measured by the MCAT. And patients deserve to have physicians who look like them and have a similar life experience. We’re not doing society any good to pump out a bunch of doctors who all look and think the same because they all come from rich suburbs. Affirmative action is not systemic racism and to complain about it is to demonstrate a lack of understanding and empathy that is critical for a healthcare career. Be part of the solution not part of the problem.

Hi all! I applied for the DNP FNP 3 year track and interviewed two weeks ago. I haven’t heard yet either. I emailed admissions and asked and they said they would be notifying in the next 1-2 weeks. Fingers crossed for us all!
