  1. Keep an eye on the new grad webpage since they’ll update the timeline for the next cohort. Not sure if you’ll need to have graduated (the application opened several months after I graduated so I can’t remember) but you do need to have your RN license by the first interview date. I also suggest following the Stanford careers facebook page since they usually have zoom sessions about the program and interview tips that were helpful.
  2. To add I completely understand there being a delay or prioritizing getting offer letters signed. However, I do think we could’ve at least received some sort of update (even if they weren’t definitive answers) during the week of the 18th like we had been told during the interview. It sucks being left in the dark while trying to weigh other options and I don’t want to come off like I feel entitled to preferential treatment or anything.
  3. Yea it’s a little unprofessional that we haven’t heard anything IMO LOL. Oh well.
  4. Ugh that’s a bummer considering the manager was in my interview. I just wish they’d send out rejections already so I have a concrete answer.
  5. Sorry you didn’t get the position ☹️. Just curious did the call come from the unit manager or HR?
  6. I feel ya. I’m just assuming that I didn’t get a critical care position at this point. Pretty frustrated since I’ve reached out to DL several times and got no response. I understand that they’re probably ridiculously busy and I’m trying to be patient but it’s now been two weeks since we were supposed to get some sort of update?
  7. Has anybody in the facebook group posted about having a position with the critical care float team? I’m just trying to gauge how many offers went out to people who aren’t on this thread since I haven’t gotten any answers from HR.
  8. Hi! I also interviewed with the burn ICU and haven’t heard anything. No reference checks either. Fingers crossed for some news.
  9. There was someone from float in my interview so I think they were hiring someone but not sure though.
  10. Has anyone else gotten offers? I’m assuming since some critical care offers already went out that I probably didn’t get the job though LOL.
  11. I feel ya! I graduated in August from a school that brags about everyone getting their dream jobs right out of school and I’ve had to patiently wait and watch as my classmates who stayed out of California started and came off of orientation already. It has definitely taken it’s toll and has been a brutal wait. Hopefully you’ll have some more answers soon ❤️
  12. You’re not alone. I haven’t gotten my official letter either.
  13. I sent an email last week and haven’t gotten any response ☹️
  14. yea I do think because it’s technically a soft offer from Stanford there’s an opportunity to turn it down if we hear from lpch before the official offer. I strategically am trying to schedule my occupational health appointment later on so it gives me a bit more of a window. I’ve been running all these scenarios through my head about how to try not to get blacklisted from multiple facilities LOL. Unfortunately I won’t be able to wait to apply to the next cohort since I’ll need medical benefits before then. Either way I’m excited that I have an offer from Stanford even if it’s on the adult side but also still trying to hold onto some hope for peds.
  15. They gave us 48 hours to respond to their soft offer and then we will receive a final offer letter after completing all the pre employment requirements. So if I hear from LPCH before I sign the official offer I’ll decide then. I know the timeline on the website says through the 31st but they were off with the timeline before with initial interviews so I haven’t been relying too heavily on that. I was just hoping to have an update last week since that’s what we were told so I’m a bit disappointed that we didn’t even get a “I’m sorry we are behind you can expect to hear from us by ___” I’m sure they’re busy but it’s definitely hard when you have other hospitals waiting for a response.
  16. I emailed DL on Friday because I also received an offer from Stanford and as much as I’d love to work in peds I can’t keep turning down offers. I asked if she’d let me know what the timeline is in terms of second interviews/rejections. I haven’t heard anything from critical care yet so I’m probably going to accept the soft offer from Stanford and just see what happens.
  17. I just got an offer for the trauma unit ?
  18. I haven’t heard anything. I had my second interview with the surgical trauma unit this morning and not feeling too great about it. The manager said we could hear anywhere between tonight and Tuesday so I’m trying not to completely give up hope.
  19. I’m sure they interview way less people than the total number of applicants so I think there’s definitely a chance still! Don't lose hope yet
  20. I heard from someone who applied for the last cohort that they had something like 2,000 applicants and only took like 15. I’m not sure how accurate those numbers are though
  21. This wait is brutal ? hope everyone is hanging in there
  22. I never got one either but fingers crossed ?
  23. I interviewed with surgical division 1 on Friday and received a call on Saturday morning to schedule the second interview. She said they were up late on Friday making decisions and it seems like it might still be only the trauma unit that have gotten invites for second interviews. Not sure though.
