  1. I was computer engineer before nursing. I could have read the books and watched Youtube and blown past the NCLEX in 6 months. All schools are for profit. Check out NCLEX pass rates in CA. Some of these mills have better pas rates that these prestigious schools.
  2. They don't look at the degree. They look at your license, and if you have other skills and there is a need for your skills, they will take you to fill that need. All hospitals are businesses. The faster they can get the staff to legally and safely take in patients, the better it is for their bottom line. FYI, Unitek in CA. Has a bad reputation. Their NCLEX pass rates are significantly higher than universities with better reputations. I say that with a degree from a Cal State. You don't what reasons people had to go to one of these schools you put down, and it's rude considering you're not Bill Gates or Oscar De La Hoya. You have an attitude bigger than Trump's, and you will never be anywhere near Trump. You're a run of the mill employee like the rest of us. However, it is your opinion, and I respect it. Hope you respect mine. Savanah Out.
  3. I was an engineer before I got into nursing. I worked on databases. Who are you talking to? I wrote the code in my department that got rid of an assistant and another was on the way out before I left. You know they can gauge the performance of a person against a computer with the amount of accurate work that is produced. Nursing jobs can be automated to. They are already doing this in Japan and China. I am not sure what you're getting at. Almost all jobs can be automated. And from my experience, robots perform better and are more compassionate that humans. You can program compassion.
  4. Yeah, machines simplify everything, reduce overhead, and displace workers. I still use the checkout for that reason. Fun fact, where I live, the Chief of Operations was looking at using autonomous buses a few years ago, but the union intervened. Technology is at that point. Bedside nursing could be a thing of the past within one year. Source about the autonomous buses, I was at the meetings. Cheers!
  5. Look up american career college sues ca board of nursing
  6. That’s because you didn’t to read the documents or articles in their entirety. It’s a court case not a tweet
  7. You know the CA BRN was sued by American Career College for Limiting the number of students. BRN justified this by saying there are too many nurses.
  8. Oversupply. The market is over saturated. A lot of people have high private school loans. Most I’ve seen have little to no experience at a hospital and use clinical to network and for pay. I get it. But acting like the student needs to impress you aint going to happen. Just do your job. A student should impress you by doing what they are supposed to do
  9. A lot of them can’t get a job as a nurse so they look for work where they precept. They don’t love teaching. They need pay. Keep it real.
  10. 18 months for an NP? Not bad. Some state schools in CA are doing a 1 year accelerated path for psych NPs because there is a lack of psychiatrists. They’re trying to fill the void in the inland empire and other parts with high drug addiction, homelessness, and psychiatric issues. You will be earning your money there. If I can’t get into one of these state schools, I’m going the fastest way possible.
  11. I’m in CA. Some people express concern over every nurse coming from out of state. It is rediculous. Some are lousy and some are damn good. Depends on the person.
  12. You should Read my updated post. It really puts things into perspective.
  13. Rightttttttt, and Trump worked for Russia. You think CNAs can give foleys and medications or a nurse can perform heart surgery? You better believe those credentials mean something unless your roll as an RN is going to be changing sheets only. If that’s the case a house keeper at a hotel beats everyone. Keep your Fake propaganda To yourself.
