I know RNs can work overseas with their license but can LPN/LVNs do the same? I feel like I want to see the other part of the world..Anyone have experience in this matter..I know some RNs thrive to go out the US to work and see the world..

I graduated in May 2006...A lot of hospitals are not hiring LPNs anymore and only hiring RNs..The job market is very competitive..I am very sad.. Our LPN instructor told someone that our college is going to discontinue the LPN program in the future since most hospitals are not hiring them anymore..

I just had my graduation....I felt girly because the students chose to wear all white and we had to carry a girly flower...I mean, if males dont speak up about this, it would seem that it is a female profession..Just to note, the females did plan this pinning ceremony and I know for a fact, that it had a feminine tone to it..It was suited for females and not unisexed! Now that is not fair at all!

The reason why nursing school is tuff because the directors want the students to pass NCLEX..They make the course work hard so that they will know only bright students will pass NCLEX...If the school gets under a 75% pass rate on NCLEX, the school will be put on probation... I over heard this while the directer was talking to an instructor..
