I do not recommend Walden. I graduated from there in May, passed boards for PMHNP in August. I cannot find a job in MN to save my life. I feel like the reputation Walden has as a diploma mill is hindering me. I passed my boards on my first try. That doesn't impress potential employers. With Walden, you are basically on your own. The clinical placement is an absolute nightmare. Save yourself the headache and heartache and choose a more reputable school. I actually looked at trying to transfer to a school in MN (St. Scholastica) while enrolled and was informed nothing would transfer from Walden. I was halfway through so I just went ahead and finished their program. I am really mad at myself for not doing more research.
