Congrats!! What are your stats & credentials if you don’t mind? I’m still on the waitlist and have lost all hope already. I was actually accepted last year when I applied but a lot has happened since so I didn’t attend. My application was also the exact same as last years so I’m probably out of luck...

Did you have to email her the same thing many times? I already sent her the same email one time before and called everyday this week but she didn’t reply or pick up the phone.

Haha, going to the Bronx from where I am is a hassle so I’m going to keep calling everyday LOL. I actually initially applied for the fall semester in my original app but called in a couple weeks back to change it to the Summer since I wanted to start school early which they processed for me. But now I realized the commute would be brutal in addition to the tolls I’d have to pay so I want to defer admission back to Fall at the Queens location. I hate myself for not thinking it through before making the move last time. Little did I know their communication was this terrible

I just don’t get how an office Isn't picking up the phone during business hours. Been calling days in a row at different times. Very annoyed to say the least.

So I’m actually gonna try to defer admission to the fall cause the queens location is more convenient for me (though it’s nice to start early in the Summer, only the Bronx campus is available). But I have been having a very hard time reaching anyone from the department. Been contacting Ellen Lloyd via email and have been calling every day with no luck. I have been able to reach her before over email and she’d respond in a day or two, but this time I’ve been trying to reach her for over a week. Anyone else have/had trouble reaching Ellen or know of anyone else to contact for admissions/application inquiries in the nursing dept?

Memorial Day is May 31st (Monday) this year. So classes start late May and not June? also, are you funding the program mostly via private student loans? I believe the program is 60k in total for tuition which is a hefty amount.

Hi everyone - I didn’t find a thread/topic for CMSV’s Summer 2021 ABSN program so I went ahead and made one. I just found out that I was accepted today and will be attending the program at the Riverdale campus. Anyone else attending for the Summer cohort? It seems a lot of people apply for the Fall/Spring semesters, but I want to get started and finish nursing school ASAP. Would love to discuss about the program with others in my cohort.

There is an update to my application portal just now... but I’m so afraid to open it. Did anyone get anything just now and checked?

I’m in an especially bad position because other schools don’t accept the classes I took at stony! So IDK what I’m gonna do if I’m waiting on bad news (god forbid). And I got nowhere to go if I don’t make the cut here

Did anyone take the BIO 203 BIO 204 and ANP sequence at SBU for undergrad? Did you apply to other ABSN programs? If so, which? I applied to Bing but got waitlisted and NYU which I chose not to attend. It doesn’t seem like other schools accept SBU’s classes for the A&P I and II pre-req requirement so I’m screwed. HOPEFULLY WE ALL HEAR GOOD NEWS SOON but I’m trying to be practical and think about next steps

If it makes you feel not so alone, I’m pretty darn miserable LOL I graduated in May so I’m in my gap year right now. If I don’t get in this gap year will see no end

The endless waiting is eating me alive from inside out. And this school is my last shot at getting into a program so all my eggs are in this basket right now ughhhhh

Is it hard to get into? What’s the application process like? Any Interview or entrance exams?

Let’s all dig a hole and crawl in or something. When we crawl out in February we would find out 100% if we got in or not. Waiting day to day is driving everyone nuts since there’s no set date

To be honest I don’t think we will hear anything today since it’s past 3PM... few years back the program sent out decisions in mid to late December now it’s pushed back an entire month. And right now the nursing students are on Winter break so there’s no classes aka the staff should have more time? Don’t understand what’s taking so long, unless they're so conflicted that they’re waiting for people to back out by pushing the decision date further back, forcing those with other acceptances to enroll in another program.

Hoping for sometime this week. The wait has been so long ? if not this week, then most likely next week according to last years timeline. This process has been so stressful and I keep checking the portal and my email even though I know there is nothing ?

It’s honestly annoying cause I have no backup plan and had previously received an acceptance to NYU back in Dec but they only gave me a week to accept or decline. So now I’m in the middle of nowhere waiting on Stony and another program which still has not notified me yet?
