@Dcrnapathway I literally said that out loud when I finished my interview. “I have no idea how that went.” It was definitely not what I had expected! So no clue how to gauge how well/poorly I did? And I agree, one question definitely caught me off guard. I think we might all be referring to the same thing. It seemed like a simple enough question, but I wasn’t sure what the “right” answer was that they were looking for?

LOL I’m sure you’re wonderful! Just had never seen that degree of arrogance before, it made all those memes make sense!? Hope we can be classmates soon!?

I came here to say that I was surprised by the lack of clinical questions, but this just floored me. I have heard horror stories of the attitudes of CVICU nurses, I’ve seen the memes, but I didn’t realize quite how true they all were. Until now. That amount of arrogance is unsettling. Additionally, they probably didn’t want to talk about your extensive, almost unfathomable knowledge because they had already seen it on paper. From my understanding, as a lowly non-CVICU nurse(not much merit to that I guess) is that they want to get a sense of who you are as a person, making sure they would be able to deal with you and your enormous ego for 60-70 hours a week. If your interview went anything like this post, I am doubtful they came to that determination. Hoping to have you as a mentor and leader next year, since the rest of us must be “normal or underachieving”. Best of luck to everyone!
