I emailed the dean yesterday about the lack of response, and then she said she would send denial emails. It seems like she only sent one to me ?

Did anyone receive a denial letter?

I also did call and I am considering sending an email to the dean also. At this point and my experience through this, I am going to sign a lease for my other college I was accepted to, and will be continuing my education at the University of Miami. Good luck to everyone else, I hope we do get answers and although this was ultimately my first choice, the experience and treatment that I have received as a result of this makes me want to not attend.

They definitely should be more communicative or responsive about this situation. I’ve tried to email and call but I received no response.

I mean we have a right to, we filled out the application by the deadline like everyone else and I would expect to receive the same treatment ?

That’s not realistic to only accept your admission to the program today, they are going to have to move it. People should have a timeline to accept the admission to UF without paying a 200 dollar some fee. Plus the background check takes at least 24 hours to run. LOL this is ridiculous. I just don’t understand why they pick and chose who to release decisions to

I called earlier today before decisions were released and they answered right away. I called near 5:00 before they closed, wondering why all the applications weren’t released all together and it went straight to voicemail ?

Even if it is a denial letter I wish it was released at the same time, it seems a little unfair to say the least. I would like to know either way so I can plan for the other school I was accepted to.

well UCF decisions came out today at 3, so if UF doesn’t release their decisions this week ?

What about finding housing and then doing fingerprints, drug tests and vaccinations? Having it done in this small of a time frame would be so unrealistic if we don’t find out by Friday to me. ?

I believe when I researched, the max amount you’ll be getting is around 7,500 for the whole year because it’s a second degree program. The majority of the time there barely is any federal aid and you’ll have to take out private loans, since a lot of people use it on their first degree ?.

Exactly what I was thinking. This is absolutely ridiculous at this point. To be honest I am just putting my deposit down and going to a different school if this is the expectation of this program.

I agree with you, all this waiting hearing back for UF and UCF is really delaying things such as living situations. Im getting really frustrated with the whole situation because of the May 10th start date, it really doesn't give us much time. I've gotten an offer at another nursing program, so I am waiting to hear back from UF and its really just delaying everything :(.

I got in also! It was just a personal email saying I was accepted.

I haven’t received anything yet either! Usually they send them out when their office closes around 5:00, as it was mentioned last year. If anyone has received it yet, hopefully it will be today!

nope, I applied around November 18 and received an email 2 weeks ago saying they were looking at my app and should hear back in 2-3 weeks if the admissions committee meets.

I just got my email for my CaneLink account today! For those of you accepted, how long did it take for you guys to hear back on the application status after getting your account?

I am also applying! I haven't wrote my personal statement yet. I was going to apply earlier, but only two weeks is hard since all of the other schools I am applying to give out decisions near February. My stats are 3.35 overall and 3.6 prerequisite if anyone has anything similar!

I am also applying to the Summer 2021 program and also am graduating at USF Spring 2021. I don't have much healthcare shadowing experience except being a HIV counselor, but due to COVID it's hard to get some hours. My cumulative is a 3.35 and my prerequisite GPA is a 3.6. Does anyone know the averages of the admits of the program since its a holistic application process?
