  1. hi hi I know you asked someone else but I found some of this info on their current union contract! https://ucnet.universityofcalifornia.edu/labor/bargaining-units/nx/contract.html parking in appendix E and pay/differentials in appendix A~
  2. Thank you for sharing that information and the clarification on the shifts~ I was wondering since you're currently there, have you enjoyed the unit and the training program so far? Do you feel supported by management and like the nurses on the floor are supportive of the new grads? Just hoping to get some more insight~ thank you in advance!
  3. the rate on mine was 50.01 but I was under the assumption that everyone got that as a new grad? did you have the same on yours or was the rate increase mentioned in your letter? thank you for sharing!! that would be nice~ LOL
  4. oooh thank you for sharing! and glad to know it wasn't just me who got the relief shifts LOL. Are you going to accept the offer? If so, look forward to meeting you in a few months! Would you be able to share the shift differentials he told you over the phone? I would assume they're all pretty similar since its union?
  5. I also got my offer for RR 6ICU today! Does yours also mention having rotating shifts or possible relief shifts? Also wondering, did your letter mention any shift differentials? Can't find any info about that...
  6. they mentioned to me that they will be making decisions next week or the following week!
  7. it was for the observation unit. Not too sure if the pay differs by unit, but ya..
  8. Also just got a call from St. Joseph Orange and their base rate is 36.24. During the phone call, they said it's non-negotiable and I didn't even bother asking about differentials
  9. It was for the ICU! whenever they call you, if you ask about differentials and when to expect pay raise, can you update me here? LOL I didn't get all of the details because it was a very unexpected random call hah
  10. I just got a call from saint josephs in Burbank! 47.13 base and 5.25 for night differential. Not too sure if there is a weekend or evening differential because the recruiter I spoke with didn't seem to know, so if anyone happens to know, I would appreciate any info~~ LOL
  11. hello! I have been lurking on his forum and am just commenting now~ congrats everyone for who have received offers and/or waiting on hearing back! I was just wondering if anyone knows the expected start date for the jan 2023 cohort? I have been looking online and can't seem to find the exact date..
  12. congrats to everyone who got offers! I know someone mentioned hearing back about the CTICU. does anyone know if they're done calling about offers or if they're still in the process?
  13. I decided to go to Emory for the AMSN program because my end goal is to be an NP and that program allows me to graduate as an NP rather than a CNL ?
  14. Hello! First time poster here but I have been following this forum for a while after submitting my app~ I got my acceptance along with some scholarship info yesterday around 10am PST! I am however declining the offer of admission so hopefully this will open a spot for one of you! Good luck everyone!
  15. Thank you! Now just have to wait on financial aid packages and other school decisions ? Yeah so a few of the programs I applied to were just a MSN to get a CNL certification but my top choices were the ones that were Master's Entry (prelicensure) + APRN (NP) together. So the NP specialty admittance is dependent on successful completion of the prelicensure part of the program but it is technically included! UCSF is one of the one's I applied and is part of my top three and I am waiting on that school, but I applied to a few others as well and they are all around 2.5-3 year programs. Are you waiting on a few other schools as well, before making your decision? Good luck to you too ?
  16. hi hi! I haven't decided which school I'm going to yet but I did get another offer from another school I applied to, and it was one of my top three. I am still waiting on a few other schools that I wanted to go to much more than USF as well. Another reason was because I didn't realize that the program start was January haha. I come from a quarter system school so Spring 2021 meant march/April to me, not January, so I'm just not mentally prepared to go back to school yet. The main reason I declined was because I'm actually looking for a master's nursing program that will allow me to be a NP (USF is for CNL), but I applied to USF because I applied here before for undergrad and also as a backup if I did not get into the NP Program I wanted. Hope this was sorta helpful ?
  17. Hi everyone! This is my first time posting on this forum but congrats to everyone who got accepted to both campuses and good luck to those who are waitlisted and still waiting on decisions! I got accepted to the SF main campus last week but just decided to decline the offer of admission today so hopefully this helps push someone else onto the admitted list! Good luck everyone :)))
  18. Ahh then it's probably different because you are doing just the MN portion, which makes sense and that is also what I assumed at first when I was filling mine out haha. I was doubting myself so I emailed again last night (to the email you mention in your post) to make sure and this was the response I got this morning. I guess it is different for MN and MN+MSN so I'm glad that we were able to clarify this ?
  19. ahh that could be it! Maybe cause I'm doing the MSN portion also, but I am not too sure. I was very confused on that as well so I actually did one of them as a 5th yr undergrad and the other as a grad student so I had to update mine after my meeting. Please do let me know what they say when you ask ?
  20. Hi everyone! Congrats to everyone who got accepted and good luck to whoever is still waiting! I got accepted into the mn+MSN program for the FNP specialty and am waiting on other schools before I accept. Just wanted to pop in and say hello because I have been following this thread but I just made an account LOL. I saw some of the other comments regarding financial aid and I just wanted to pass on what I heard from my zoom meeting with one of the associate directors of admission and financial aid. If you are starting Summer 2021 (like me), you would need to fill out both the 2020-2021 and 2021-2022 FAFSAs and fill out both of them as a graduate student. The 2020-2021 FAFSA is needed for Summer 2021 aid. It says on their website to fill it out as a 5th yr undergrad so I asked about this and the person said that it's outdated because that was from when the AMSN program was an ABSN+MSN program. I think they are updating it now because she said they would be updating it and I don't see that page anymore on their website. Also, I have not received my financial aid package either and that is also why I am holding off accepting the offer but she said that the first group of financial aid packages SHOULD be going out sometime in November, but I wouldn't be surprised if it got delayed. Also as for the OPUS status change, for some reason my status hasn't changed on there and it still says "application received" but I have the pay admissions deposit button. I asked the lady about this too and she said that she doesn't know when that change takes place, but as long as you get the acceptance letter, you're good! She said I still showed up as admitted on their end. Hope this was helpful in some way and sorry if its so long LOL
