  1. Hi, has anyone taken their clinicals in Austin and if so what sites were they. I currently work at HCA and neither myself or my co-workers have seen a WGU nursing student at our site. If you lived in Austin while attending the Pre-Licensure at WGU please let me know where you had to go for clinicals. Thank you in advance
  2. Does anyone know or has had credits from Study.com accepted at Gallen College for pre-requisites.
  3. There are shortage areas but it is in areas that the majority of people aren't comfortable working in. Prisons need medical workers but few want to work in prisons. There will always be a shortage of Mental Health Nurse Practitioners due to the type of mind set and compassion needed for this job along with the high burn out rate. Rural areas will always be underserved across all specialities. There is employment out there for NP's it's just a matter of speciality and location people are willing to work in.
  4. I'm looking into WGU's Nursing pre-licensure program. I have two questions. Has anyone completed this program while living more than 50 miles away from the clinical sites? Is it only necessary to live in the same state? Did you complete any pre-requisites through WGU? Did you have them all completed before being accepted?
