CSUSM ABSN Fall 2021
I heard back from FAFSA, and I'm not getting any subsidized loan even though this is my very first time applying for FAFSA. I had expected that I was going to get some unsub loan, but not getting any sub loan is a deal breaker for me. I have a few days left to decide, but I'm leaning towards taking the ADN route even though it takes longer to get BSN. Thank you so so much for all the info and wish you best luck to your nursing journey @redivy @sdougie90!! @helloitsm3 Pre-reqs and other admission info is found on their website! https://www.CSUSM.edu/el/programs/health-medical/bsnursingaccelerated/index.html You can also checkout the point breakdowns to see how many points you have here >>https://www.CSUSM.edu/el/programs/health-medical/bsnursingaccelerated/absnprogramassignedpointscriteria.pdf and also the previous admission stats here >>https://www.CSUSM.edu/el/programs/health-medical/bsnursingaccelerated/absnstats.html

CSUSM ABSN Fall 2021
@sdougie90 @redivy thank you so much for sharing the info! Are you guys from the nearby cities to the school or some of the hospitals? Wow, I recognize only some of the cities/hospitals. I had also checked the posts from the previous years, but they were skeptical if the school actually uses the zip code. They were basically suggesting that your clinical sties can be placed all over no matter where you live and that you should be prepared for that. This doesn't really help me to decide where to even move. If you don't mind me asking another question, does anyone know whether we could get a subsidized loan? Taking an unsubsidized loan with this unstable economy scares me a bit.

CSUSM ABSN Fall 2021
Congrats to everyone who got accepted! Do you guys know where the clinical sites are going to be by any chance? I got an acceptance letter yesterday as well. I'm trying to figure out whether I need to move closer to the campus since I live in the LA county. When attending the info session back in February, the faculty said that it could be anywhere in between Riverside area to San Diego. But that's a lot of areas to locate where to move. Any info you could share will be much appreciated!

Pasadena City College ADN Fall 2021
@Fangan Congratulations!!! @shmels @Greta HeathI had 85. Given how competitive the program is, I was going to take the nutrition course to bump up my points to 90. When attending the info session, the faculty mentioned that applicants with 85 or above have a good chance of getting in (though it varies every semester depending on the pool they receive). I applied to 6 different schools, took TEAS twice (even bought $200+ study packets), was rejected after getting 2 final interviews, etc. It's truly been a long journey. So for those who feel nervous or discouraged, please STAND TALL (believe me, I know the pain) and never give up on your hopes and dreams. Your day will come sooner or later! @hellfirecatit was sent to my personal email.

Oh no... I'm a second degree applicant too! Do post-bacc applicants usually get notified later than transfers?! Do you know how much later by any chance? The past two weeks have already been too much for me. I can only imagine how I would be like once people start posting they've been accepted. I would be nervous as hell.....
