  1. Obviously I’d rather not say. Message me if you want to talk about apps
  2. Western University (I declined to interview), University of San Francisco, University of Vermont, UCI (I declined to interview), Columbia, Yale, MGH, University of Virginia.
  3. Hi, I’m still waiting to hear from USF. I sent my application in back in December. Did you hear from them about 10 weeks after you submitted?
  4. I received my invite to interview today but will be turning it down, so hopefully one of you will receive the invite in lieu!
  5. Does anyone know how many full ride MGH scholarships are available?
  6. I agree. I have been holding onto my acceptance but I am going to decline this weekend once I talk to a few people (mentors, family, etc). I think CU would be great, but personally the price tag is insane. And I'm just really hard up on money and the less loans the better. I think a DNP would be great later on, but damn, I'd rather try getting a future employer pay my DNP which is really really common. And for some reason, I don't like the fact that they didn't require real-time interviews but still ask for such a huge price tag. Though I get it, it's a really great school and arguably the best for DNP but maybe that's because it's the only ivy league that offers a direct entry DNP degree (unless I'm wrong) so there's no real competition. And of course, good luck to everyone who's going to attend this program - you all are smart AND lucky. I look forward to seeing everyone's journey continue on this thread!
  7. Yes, would love to speak with you about it! thank you
  8. Does anyone know when Admitted Students' Day is?
  9. Ah, yes, maybe. But you are a BSN/RN which is great. Message me any questions you'd like!
  10. I am in for PMHNP and also have leadership experience in a psych nonprofit and research experience. Let me know if you want to share stats. I'm down to help
  11. I also posted this on the other Vanderbilt Direct Entry forum, but does anyone know the cost for years 2 and 3? The PreSpecialty year seems to be 110k
  12. For anyone wondering, I just searched the cost and it says "For example, the cost of attendance for 2020-2021 for a full time Pre-Specialty MSN student enrolled in three semesters is $110,386", a bit more than I had expected. Does anyone know how much years 2 and 3 will each be? Thanks
  13. Thankfully I did not have to do so, but it is not uncommon for people to commit to more than one school, and pull out when they decide to do so. The only thing you lose is your deposit.
  14. I received an EOA but canceled the interview. So I guess I’m just waiting in queue for a rejection letter since I never rescheduled an interview and it’s past the registration date now.
  15. Yes my first time applying to 10 schools and got in all of them
  16. Wow, you’re brave for requesting to read them beforehand. Did you get any pushback? I didn’t ask to read my letters beforehand but I definitely sent the letter requests along with bullet points of what to write/mention so I just had to hope that they followed “my guidelines” PS. If it helps anyone to know, I got 50th percentile in both math and verbal on GRE and got in. I guess it’s true, the GREs don't weigh heavily
  17. This is what I did too. My writers also told me when they’d be writing it (ex, “Saturday” or “tomorrow night”) so I made sure to stand by in case they emailed or texted me with questions they wanted to know so they can add to my letter. Asking for a strong letter is key and I think you can gauge who can write you a strong letter. I had one obvious choice for a writer but actually didn’t use them because I knew writing just wasn’t their thing. When I got accepted, 2/3 of my writers sent me their drafts and it actually made me cry both times. They were both strong as hell. Like, 3 pages single spaces and everything. yale accepts 3 letters, but I asked 5 people so that I can pick and choose and take my time to decide which to send. I didn’t get to read them before hand but it was a safety net for me
  18. I didn’t know that RN/BSNs can also apply to this program. That’s pretty awesome. How would their first year differ since they already have an RN? Can they skip the first year and pay less?
  19. Haha yes! Congrats buddy!
  20. Hi all, I just canceled my early opportunity day since I decided to attend a direct entry NP Program, so hopefully my spot will open up to someone on here! Good luck!
  21. Good morning. Does anyone know if the aid applies to second and third year as well, or just the first? Thanks.
  22. Tears of fear, of the working class. Where even good news bring clouds.
  23. hi, sorry no I received a need based, not merit based. I had to take a moment because my tears were preventing me from seeing my screen.
  24. I received aid. Is the 6 figure number on page 2 per YEAR?
