  1. Same here, sounds like orientation is the same day for all of us!
  2. Hi again! Just some additional follow up questions regarding the program... How would you describe the faculty's attitude toward student success? Do they go out of their way to help students succeed in the program? Understandably, people do fail occasionally, but is it an accepted norm to fail a nursing exam? Are the classes filled with repeating students or is it rare to have a classmate who failed and is now repeating the course with students who started in a later semester? Thank you!
  3. when you go into your oasis account and look up classes (under register) it will say if its remote or TBA. I guess they haven't figured out if there will be some in person classes just yet, but some of the classes are def remote Good to know, thanks!
  4. Haven't heard anything on my end just yet. Do we have to sign that we are plan on attending and pay the pre admission on the portal in order to be invited to orientation and register?
  5. Thank you! Will def reach out again if I have any more questions. Sounds like a great program overall!
  6. Thank you! Your input is really helpful! Regarding the tests again and the first semester...I know that nursing exams require adjustment, so I'm curious to know how the majority of students do on the fundamentals tests. Did majority of the students pass the first few exams or did many fail? Thank you!
  7. Hi Catsweeney! Can you tell us a little more about the program? Like how difficult are the tests and what would be considered a pass in the nursing classes? Are the teachers happy to help out students? Is it common for students to fail a nursing class? I was thankfully accepted to Farmingdale and trying to compare my optionsbecausee I'm in a community college program right that is known to fail students very easily, pass is a 75 and the tests are the only things that count towards your grade. Thanks!
  8. I'm really excited for all those who where accepted and hoping the best for those who didn't get an exact answer! Does anyone know the retention/dropout rate for the farmingdale program? What happens if someone fails a class? I'm currently in a Community College's Nursing program and it's extremely hard, people are constantly failing (good hard working students) and repeating classes. It's horrible.
  9. Hi, Did anyone get their responses from the college yet? Or is that going to be next week? Thanks
  10. hey, thanks for the responses, super helpful to see the chance of acceptance! Not sure of the acceptance rate, but there are usually 500 applicants for the advanced standing program and 50 seats! They go soley by grades and the TEAS! 40% = pre req GPA 30%= TEAS 30%= overall GPA
  11. Hi Everyone, I also applied to the advanced standing program and I'm curious to know how competitive the scores will be this year, specifically pertaining to the TEAS...I saw that the last years program accepted a student with a TEAS score of 75, but the 2017 year declined someone who got a 78...trying to understand that. How was everyone's TEAS? I got a 79, have a 3.9 average for prereqs and 3.8 average for overall GPA.
