  1. Me too ! ? @Darna were you notified recently about this? Do we find out by snail mail or our portal?
  2. Has anyone heard anything yet? I am sooooo nervous!
  3. How did people feel about the waitlist session? I was surprised to see so many applicants waitlisted.
  4. Does anyone know when the program begins in the Summer?
  5. To those who wait in, how long do you have to accept your admission?
  6. Congratulations to everyone! I’ve been waitlisted. Curious to know how many they typically accept for a cohort.
  7. @milkTee They told us we would find out early to mid-October. Most of us found out a month later (3rd week of November), a week and a half before the next app was due. I made myself a little crazy waiting last cycle because of lack of communication on SMU behalf so do your best to be patient and not let your mind make the worst of it. It feels like torture and it’s so hard to wait, but stay hopeful and I would encourage others to get on the next cycle’s application if considering reapplying. Hope this info is helpful.
  8. This is exactly what happened for Spring ‘21 cycle. They notified us the same week the next app was due. Hang in there! I feel your experience!!
  9. Can any of the CM candidates who have been accepted share a little about themselves?
  10. From what I understand, those who were denied FNP were sent a time-sensitive email and given an opportunity to apply/submit their essays with a CM emphasis. They had not been offered interviews for FNP.
  11. Did anyone apply to CM after receiving the email from Anne/being denied for FNP?
  12. @outsidelands congrats on the interview! what specialty are you applying for?
  13. Did anyone else receive an email from Anne Seid regarding ELMSN-CM?
  14. Has anyone received news for an interview for women’s health?
  15. Hello! I’m new to this forum. Has anyone who applied for ELMSN-FNP heard anything? I have not received any correspondence this entire time but did get notice I was not accepted into the Summer ABSN program which I applied for simultaneously.
  16. @futurern20677 congratulations!! can you share a little bit about yourself/stats?
  17. Congratulations!
  18. thank you all for the encouragement and support and feedback!!
  19. Thank you all. I used to work closely with Katharine who is amazing but she left. I’ve spoken to Derric a few times but to be honest he hasn’t been too helpful and extremely hard to reach. When you guys say letter of intent so you mean the essay questions? Sorry may sound like stupid question but I’m worried I missed something. I know I have room for improvement in my test scores and this cycle I worked so hard improving my essay questions. If anyone has any names of admissions counselors that they recommend, please share if you’re willing. Good luck to everyone and thanks for the support!
  20. congratulations to those who have been waitlisted and accepted! I just received notification...I was not accepted. 2nd time applying, too. Could anyone who was accepted share their stats please? These were mine: 3.8 last 60 units 3.6 science GPA 87 on TEAS 10 years healthcare experience w/ Volunteer hours. I know I can improve my TEAS score but still really discouraged. This is not a fun process ?
  21. Congrats to everyone who has been accepted! Question: any one accepted receive a phase 2 email yesterday?
  22. Hey everyone! Does anyone have a timeline of when we should hear if we are selected for the interview phase?
  23. @hmtool congratulations! that’s amazing! Can you share your application stats? (If you don’t mind:)
  24. I am going to. I think the more applicants that do, the better. I spoke to a counselor today who said there could be a possibility but she hasn’t heard of anything. Also, I did not get in. Huge bummer but I prepared for the disappointment as best I could. Going to do my best to get an application in for the 12/1 deadline but hoping the school extends the deadline.
  25. I am right there with you guys. Feel the same and am in similar situation. 2 online courses, working full-time, and been holding out hoping that this will be the day, and it’s now been a month ??‍♀️ I am just starting to prepare. I think I am going to take the TEAS because it seems to be more widely accepted for nursing programs. Originally I was only focusing on the HESI but now that Samuel Merritt accepts the TEAS, I think I’m going to take that route. I am so grateful to have this forum with all of you. It doesn’t take away all of the angst but to know I’m not alone on this confusing and daunting yet hopeful journey makes a huge difference. ? here’s to a new week with hopefully more clarity! ??
