Hey jk711! I don't have facebook but agree it would be nice to connect with some future classmates. I haven't seen or heard of anything yet either. Now that finals are done I plan to start checking items off of our To Do list next week!

Not sure but would probably look at who has all the sciences, highest GPA, HESI scores etc. Don't know how they prioritize.

I literally know how your friend feels from last cycle. Pts were 78 and I did not meet them. I did notice the structure and calculations were different this cycle so not surprised about the higher threshold, but it is much higher than I've ever heard of as well. Seems like apps for everything are through the roof and extra competitive this year because of covid and people stuck at home with some time on their hands.

In the end, bottom line is you will only take one spot and no matter what, they will ALL be filled one way or the other. Did you find out about the 86 pts from your call also?

I say cover your butt. If you give up a spot because you want to go somewhere else, they will fill it with an alternate. How did you find out about the May 7 requirement? Just checked my mail, nothing but BILLS!

The points were different last cycle as far as how they were calculated, bonus points etc. I made sure I had the so called "pre reqs" of Psyc, Chem, Eng, and NSCI and the HESI prior to applying last cycle and then I had several other classes as well.

My understanding is they only send out letters, at least that is what I received. I just dug mine out of the pity vault and it was dated Oct 2. So it was actually 4 weeks! It seemed so much faster but I guess it really wasn't. I was rejected because I did not meet the points minimum which was 78. My GPA was 4.0 and mid 90s on HESI. My points were just under 78 so they seem to stick to it!

You both have more points than I do and I also still have a science to complete. Wouldn't be surprised to hear sometime next week. Letters went out pretty fast last cycle, shortly after app window closed. Good Luck!

Good question and I really don't know but just always assumed it was day. I bet you could call (MODERATOR EDIT OF NAME) (nursing admin asst) and she would tell you. She's always pretty helpful in answering questions. Did you apply to OCCC? Do you know if the pre-reqs are the same?

I'm sorry to hear that! You are not alone that is for sure. A lot of other programs do test on A&P and not chem so I see why you would have prepared the way you did. Your scores are awesome on the other sections, you will kill it next time! It will be reassuring to apply with all of your pre-reqs already done as well.
