My undergrad GPA is haunting me! ? Overall 3.0, prereq 3.4, and post bacc of roughly 50 credits 4.0. My science GPA is also not helping me. Post bacc doesn't matter to Linfield. My A&P professor advised me to apply to OHSU since they go off prereq GPA, and mine will be better (it's lower for Linfield, since I got Bs in my gen bio series, and OHSU doesn't include the bio/chem series in prereqs). Hoping my essays, experience, and improved GPA get me in, otherwise I'll be moving to Illinois for 1.5 years. But, my professor did say I can apply for NCLEX in Oregon and just move back. ?

On NursingCAS when you apply you can choose the term... This is something new for OHSU. ?

I've just submitted my app to OHSU's ABSN and BSN programs. Decisions come around February 2021 or so for Fall term (they've also recently added more cohorts to start at different terms). I work there as a Medical Assistant, and I'll have all my prerequesites completed by then, so my application will be stronger than it did when I applied to Linfield. I'm so happy for those who got accepted to Linfield, I hear they offer some great scholarships to help offset their program cost! Wish you all success! Take care!

Congrats! I did not get an offer. I'm still waiting to hear from OHSU, other wise it's off to Illinois (where I got two offers). Congrats again, wish everyone the best!

Thank you, tmht! I am also waiting to hear from local schools. I did pay the deposit to hold my spot, just thankful it wasn't more. One of the local schools requires $400 deposit! I should know for sure where I'm going by February! A professor of mine said if I've been accepted some where - go! I've been researching areas in Rock Island and so far heard bettendorf iowa is a better location. Good luck! Maybe we'll be seeing each other at Trinity? ?

I received an e-mail from Linfield. They told me they review all applicants holistically, and that they do factor healthcare experience. They let me know that my prerequisites are not pre-approved. I took A&P 300 series at Portland State and Nutrition there, too. I am surprised to hear that, but I couldn't imagine them not being approved. Honestly, I was a bit surprised that no one with this similar course background has applied at Linfield in the past. Just my thoughts. Regarding decisions, Linfield said they expect to send out admission decisions by October 1st. Good luck to all who've applied.

I'm also from Oregon and was recently accepted to the BSN 2nd Degree program. Have you learned anything about this school since your post that you'd be willing to share? Did you get accepted? If so, do you plan on going?

I was recently accepted into Trinity's School of Nursing BSN program for Fall 2021. It's located in Rock Island, Illinois and I will be moving across the country from Portland, OR to attend. Does any one have any feedback about this program or the area specifically? I am nervous about safety. Are there any nearby cities and/or neighborhoods you would recommend living in? I'm a single mom (widow) of a soon-to-be teenage girl.

When I applied via NursingCAS (for their traditional program) it said the deadline was 8/1/2020. I think there was another thread about decisions coming soon, but if the deadline isn't until October maybe not.

Has anyone heard a decision from Linfield yet?
