Yes I did apply for the San Mateo location but I received a general rejection email ? I am still keeping my head up as I finished a lot of in progress classes and added experience for the September 1st deadline. I actually really surprised at how fast they sent out decisions this year, I read in the past that they usually came out in October. Hopefully they make decisions fast for next round. I hate the wait so much. For everyone who didn't make it, we got this stay strong and motivated our time will come!!

Hey SerenaGrace, I applied to the San Mateo campus as my first choice! Also I did not know SMU calculates our TEAS/HESI with the highest score in each category. I got an 89.4 in Science, 96.9 in Math, 91.7 in English and Language Usage, and 89.4 in Reading. I feel like I could retake it and get into the 90s but I really don't want to have to take the exam again. I am also already started my application for the September 1st deadline!!

Hello Everyone, My stats are as following and I am applying for my first time to the ABSN program. Science: 3.5 Last 60 units (still in progress I graduate in December): 3.9 only prereq I have left is English Composition which I will be taking in the Fall. TEAS score overall: 88% LOR: 1 from a clinical director, 1 from a clinical supervisor, and 1 from my Epidemiology professor. I am currently working as a Behavioral Therapist and have recently taken a Clinical Internship opportunity. I will also be starting work as a scribe in the fall but this probably won't count towards this round of applications. I was wondering if any of you got an email about verifying your application. I think mine hasn't verified because I still have to do a AU with my Summer courses I am currently taking but I could be wrong. Any insight? My Bach degree is also still in progress so I'm not sure if that will affect my chances.

In regards to transcripts, I know nursingcas sent them automatically but do we have to send another transcript once our new semester grades come in. Also, I'm wondering if all the new in progress classes I added to my transcript got sent over. Anyone know how it works?

Hello all, also applying to the program, I have average stats but work as a BT so hoping that helps. I scored 88% on my TEAS. Thinking about taking the HESI as well since they pushed the deadline to the 16th. What website or testing center did you guys use for taking the HESI? Best of luck to everyone!!

Hey everyone! I am super excited for all of you!! I had a question as I am applying to the Fall 2021 start. For your letters of rec, how did you go about sending those in. Do we have to email the school to then email the person who is writing the letter of rec? I'm very confused so any instruction would help greatly. Good luck all!!

Hello all, I am trying to apply for the fall 2021 start BSN program. I believe the application is due on December 1st however, I don't see the program on NursingCas. Am I doing something wrong? Anyone else not able to see the BSN program option on the application? Additionally, I will be retaking my TEAS exam. First time I scored a 85%, I will update with my new score soon! Good luck to all that are studying for HESI/TEAS.
