  1. Hey! Have you have received your license yet? If so, what was the total time it took from application to licensure? 4-6 weeks is such a drag compared to other states. I wish they would consider improving the turnaround time.
  2. Hi! I’ve been accepted to UTHSC DNP program starting August 2022. Just reaching out to see if others here will be starting too. I haven’t received any communication since getting my seat deposit paid/student ID number and just want to make sure I’m not missing out on anything! Mainly want to make sure in-person orientation dates don’t slip by me. thanks!
  3. Hi Sunnysidesd, I did have all of the pre-reqs completed at the time I submitted my application.
  4. Has anyone gotten any emails to their UTHSC email account? I am a UTK alum so it took some time to switch my email domain from UTK to UTHSC. It is finally switched, but I do not have any of the emails that were sent before the domain switch. Just want to make sure I am not missing out on anything!
  5. I accepted! I haven’t gotten anything from financial aid or my NetID/email. I only got a confirmation that both of my forms were received. I’m still searching for apartments. Most of them won’t know availability for the end of the year until next month. I’m only looking in midtown and downtown at the moment.
  6. I haven’t seen any posts that had students talking about the program, just ones where they were like us-waiting on acceptance. I’ll see if I can find them! I did reach out to a previous student and she was kind enough to explain some about the program. “Schedule varies by semester and day, typically class all day Monday and Friday and labs/clinicals Tuesday-Thursday. Your evenings and weekends will be free (until final semester if you choose to do your internship on weekends). Also on your lab days you’ll only be on campus for a few hours, so you will have plenty of time to study. Just know working while in the program is pretty much impossible, it was very intense! I’d recommend the midtown area, or downtown. The area immediately around campus isn’t the safest. I lived in East Memphis myself, which was about a 20 minute commute to school and even less for some of my clinicals. They do offer a few scholarships but they aren’t for much and you won’t know if your awarded one until the week before school starts. Typically they go to people who have higher financial need, I am married and made too much money so I didn’t get anything. However several of my classmates got anywhere from $1000-$5000 a semester! I hope this helps and feel free to ask anything else you think of. I know I struggled to find information beforehand and it was very frustrating.“ Hope this helps!
  7. I’m open to a roommate if anybody else is considering one. There’s a housing portal on the school website I plan to utilize once I get my school email. They list open housing as well as a Find a roommate.
  8. Congrats everyone! @Hordorhordor I’ll also be researching the Memphis area/good apartments to rent. I’ll keep you updated if I learn any suggestions on where to go/where not to go!
  9. I received some good news! I hope you all did too!
  10. I didn’t ask about the timeline, but thinking back on it, I wish I would have. I’ve just been sticking to the timeline on the initial email after submitting my application. My heart is set on knowing the final decision by September 30th so I’m hoping the process stays on schedule!
  11. I feel very confident about my interview! I think it went really well. Mine lasted 30 minutes too.
  12. Congratulations Jazzy123! Let us know how your interview goes!
  13. Congratulations! I received one too!
  14. I think you’re right. I was hoping they would send them out on Friday before the weekend. I was checking my email every 15 minutes ?
  15. I also applied and haven’t heard anything. I’m now hopeful knowing that I’m not the only one!
