  1. Hi all (hope this kind of post is allowed here), Wondering if anyone here is looking to relocate to Gainesville and is trying to find an apartment... I am leaving for Jacksonville so my Gainesville apartment would be available for May move in. It's a large 1/1 and about 15 min walk to HPNP and 10 min UF/Shands hospitals (cut that time by at least half if you bike). Great parking, amenities, management, etc. As a UF Health employee, the location has been a lifesaver for the past 2 years! Kind of wish I specified for Gainesville campus so I could keep on living here, but life happens how it happens! DM if you or someone you know would like to hear more.
  2. congrats! All this stress paid off. Could someone start a group and then post the link here? I'd appreciate that ?
  3. It was an email for me. I just checked my portal and actually don't see any updates lmaoooooo. hopefully they didn't accidentally send the email
  4. awwww congrats to you! I got in for jacksonville campus
  5. Hello everyone, guess what just appeared in our inbox ?
  6. Honestly, please go ahead and do it. I was about to later today because I couldn't find one
  7. With the waitlist, there is still a possibility of being offered admission. Denied is no acceptance. If someone who was admitted doesn't decide to enroll in this program, then that seat is opened up and someone on the waitlist can get called up to take their spot. It's also possible that someone else on the waitlist can get called before another.
  8. I don't see an update to my page.. I just assumed I didn't get it since they emailed me a few days ago on other scholarship opportunities to check out ?
  9. That is true! I hope for before Friday as well. Mainly because I know some people applied to multiple programs and have to commit/provide payment to a program soon. So I do understand why it'd be nice to hear back and weigh all options. Best of luck to everyone ?
  10. Maybe not a full hour (sure felt like it though ?). Def can make a trip longer than expected. I live down by the hospital so I'm very fortunate to just be able to walk/bike to work.
  11. Hi Elizaveta! I cannot speak much on jacksonville, but I am currently living in Gainesville. Feel free to inbox me. There's lots of good housing around here (in my opinion) and public transportation and commutability is also very nice (if that is your vibe). I do think there is a perfect spot for everyone here since there are so many different types of neighborhoods and housing options. Some are more geared towards undergrad students, some towards graduate/professional, and some towards families, etc. If you have kids I'd personally stay a little further from the undergrad housing just because it could get noisy. Check out places around Archer Rd, South of 16th avenue, east of 13th. I would personally stay away from stuff north of university just because that is where lots of undergrad stuff happens and bars are, so again the noise. Again feel free to message me abt gainesville housing ? I've been here for almost 6 years ^^Agree to archer road traffic ? it's horrendous! I've found myself sitting in traffic for an hour trying to travel 1.5 miles if I catch myself leaving at the wrong time.
  12. Congrats!!
  13. Just as promised, an email showed up nice and early at 6:57 for me! I got invited for the ABSN ? anyone else?
  14. I don't know if I was in the interview group with anyone here, but I am pretty sure I saw everyone in the little welcome room. I think I learned a lot about the program during the welcome room and in the interview. I enjoyed my interviewers, they were hilarious and adorable. I also really enjoyed the other students in my interview group. Not sure if anyone was in the same zoom as me, but if so, thanks for a nice environment and some really good insight/conversation. I really enjoyed it and hope you all get in bc y'all sound like super cool people
  15. Haven't had mine yet, but best of luck to everyone!! You guys are so fun and nice. I hope the admissions panel sees your guys' lovely personalities and sees how great of nurses you guys will be ❤️ I will probably pop into the welcome room around 11 since mine is at 1215. Hopefully everyone there isn't pooped out since they've been up early this morning! ?
  16. I'm gonna do business professional/casual. So a nice blouse, probably no blazer. Then I'm going to pull my hair back just because I need a haircut and don't want it to be obvious. I probably won't worry hard about pants/shoes since its on zoom lolol
  17. Hi everyone! So my interview is at 1215 tomorrow, but I am planning to hop into the welcome room at some point before meeting with the panel. I am wondering if anyone else wanted to pop into the welcome room at a particular time together. Everyone here has been so kind and helpful along the way and I'd love the chance to say hi over zoom even if we aren't in the same interview slot. ?
  18. Yay! Considering they are still reviewing and haven't released decisions, I hope this works in your favor.
  19. Thank you! I sure hope it means this ? Yes, I was also very interested in how they were to conduct classes with COVID regulations. I know some programs are fully online with only clinicals in person. So this is another factor to consider prior to accepting the program/finding an apartment lease close to clinicals/the CON
  20. hi! It was good! Definitely nice to see everyone face to face for once. They answered some of my questions that you guys might find useful: -Decisions for ABSN will come out ASAP, they're still reviewing some things -Currently, the plan is to have class/labs/sims/clinicals in person with masks/social distancing. Good luck to everyone else interviewing and all of us still waiting.
  21. Thank you for this information! Counting down the days ?
  22. In the email they sent me, it says that they want the interviews for scholarships to be done no later than march 2nd. So I'm speculating that it would be sensible for decisions to come out today. I think it would be odd if they waited days after the interview deadline to know if people are even in the program.
  23. Aww thanks! It was sent by the advisor with initials D-M (don't want my comment to get flagged if I name drop someone) and the subject line was "helene fuld scholarship interview opportunity". It was sent today 11:26 and I just noticed it now!
  24. Hi friends, Did anyone get an interview for the Helene Fuld scholarship? I got the email requesting me make an appointment, but I checked my UCF portal and it hasn't posted a decision yet. Wondering if this is a glitch. ?
  25. Thank you! This is helpful ?
