quick update for you all. I have my approval from NYSED - have just paid for the NCLEX with pearson view to get my ATT released. New York does not need me to do any further education/courses/clinical time. They took about 3 months to process my application from the date CGFNS sent them my information. Unfortunately, my boyfriend (in america) has ended our relationship 3 weeks before I got this email from NYSED. My entire world has just disappeared it's awful. So anyway, I've come this far I feel silly not to just take the exam! I've already paid for the study material, spent the last 10 months on this application - so why not keep options open. yeh??? From the date of ATT, you have 365 days to sit the exam. Now that I'm not in a rush to move overseas, I'm thinking perhaps start of 2022 to sit the exam and study for it slowly til then.

I've applied to NY with CGFNS in August. All my documents have arrived (according to tracking numbers) But CGFNS hasn't changed the doucments status yet- They arrived months ago (I'm just finding out now, I was being patient, perhaps too patient!) I've contacted them today to see where they are - hoping they are physically there, but just not yet processed. Waiting and seeing. I started the application in August - first documents arrived in Sept, final documents arrived early Dec. Waiting waiting ! How is everyone else going? I've seen transfer of registration due to COVID seems easier in some states, who aren't even requiring a transfer, you just work on the license you have (Idaho have this scheme) Hope youre all well and covid safe

Hello! I am also filling in my cgfns application to apply for RN in USA from AUS For the specialty education I've added my post graduate cert in critical care But The continuing education section... I've been a nurse for 10 years. How do I succinctly, yet completely, fill this section in? Any advice? How did you end up filling it in GiGi?

Yes, exactly that's why I am asking for other nurses experiences or any information they have to help me decide where to apply for registration/work. Thanks for your comment.

Does anyone have information on transferring Aus RN getting license in Idaho or Washington state without needing obs/paeds/extra study? Or am I best to apply for licensure in NY - then endorsement in Washington state /Idaho? I already have a masters in nursing practice (critical care) and the thought of going back to school for the paeds/obs hurdle hurts my soul right now.
