Just lurking on the forum haha, but thought I'd chime in about the vacation bidding part since I'm a new grad in the previous cohort! You guys can still get vacation days, you can actually just trade with co workers or have someone cover you. It's pretty easy to do and alot of co workers need/ want certain days off outside their vacation bidding or are also new grads/new people with less seniority. Also you accrue pto gradually over time with the # of hours worked.. I think I have about 50 hrs of PTO now and I've been at KP for about 10 mo now? Moral of story, don't fret about PTO time and never getting to go on vaca with you fam! There are workarounds that everyone uses! :D

Were you waitlisted for CM for the Sac campus? I didn't know they had such a long waiting list for it! Do you happen to know how many people got in off the waiting list? Wishing you best of luck on the interview and hope we all make it in this time!

Thanks for shedding some light on that! @djpa2 I wonder if that means it might be less competitive to get into the San Mateo cohort since there are two cohorts compared with the Oakland one? And I did read of here from one of the past threads that the Oakland campus gets the most applications?

Hey guys! Does anyone know anyone who has gotten in to a second choice campus after getting rejected from their first choice? I feel like SMU would consider you for your others choices or they wouldn't have you list a 2nd or 3rd choice in the first place.. haha have been reading all the past forums and not sure if that has happened to anyone?

Haha well there is never a bad time to start anything! ? I feel like you will not be the only one who will be making a FB for that purpose haha. ? Oh and that definitely makes sense that it is for both campuses! That or I wonder if the accepted applicants numbers are just the # of people they extended offers too? and then out of that number maybe around 25 accepted for each of the programs? I'm just speculating at this point!! Just want to dwell on something to make me feel less nervous about the interview! I have heard great things about the program from some alumni that I used to work with about how strong their ELMSN programs are so just makes me want to attend that much more!

Oh I do see that on their website! Thanks @FutureNP90! So I read on previous threads that SMU accepts 25 for CM and 25 for FNP? Can anyone else confirm that? From what I remember, I saw one of the ELMSN groups on facebook and it looked like there were more than 50 members so wanted to confirm! I also read that both FNP and CM tracks will pretty much be the same cohort for the first year at least until we then split into our respective tracks in the 2nd year? That's so awesome that all of us will be together.. definitely makes me feel like we'll have a lot of support in the program and lots of people who bring different experiences and perspectives!

Hi! Does anyone know how many interviews they give out for the CM program? I wonder how many they accept from the interview pool!

Hi! Did you already e-mail them a copy of your unofficial test results and they were asking for the official copy? I e-mailed them a copy of my unofficial for HESI (the one they provide to you right after you finish taking the test) but they haven’t e-mailed me asking for the official copy yet.. I tried signing onto the site to find the official copy but I can’t find it anywhere! Does anyone know if we need to request the official copy? Or is the one we emailed to them in Jan sufficient? I did get my prelim email already!

I also applied to the ELMSN programs so maybe that is why! One person on the ELMSN forum said they got their prelim e-mail about a week ago!

Hey guys! For those of us that e-mailed a copy of their HESI scores to [email protected] , did you guys just send that score report that they provided to us right after we took finished taking the exam? I tried logging into my HESI account to see if there was another one, but it seems that was the only one other than the official one that I still haven't received yet? Does anybody know if they're mailing the official one?

Hey guys! For the HESI A2 exam, we only need to take the A&P section right? not the physics and Chemistry sections? The SMU ABSN admission webpage is not loading right now, so I can't check what the requirements are for it... does anybody know?? help!!

Do we have to have the conversions memorized? Or do they give that to you during the test?

Hey @milkTee Yes I am trying to make the 12/1 deadline! I got some two new letters of rec from my place of employment and one from a professor! I also have grades in for the last two prereqs I took and submitted another transcript for those 2 courses.:) Does anyone know when the Oakland cohort starts? Does it start the same time as the June San Mateo one? Nice to know that there are 3 cohorts this Summer! more spotssss yay

Oh awesome! I tried contacting them but couldn’t get ahold of so e-mailed them instead. I registered for 11/24 but I just realized Thanksgiving is on Thursday so don’t know if that’ll delay getting results since it says 2-3 business days.. argh cutting it so close!
