  1. Hey everyone. My application was updated just before 3pm and I am an alternate. This happened to me during the Spring 2021 and I ended up getting an acceptance letter, so I'm hopeful it'll be the same outcome. For reference I had 83 points.

  3. Hey everyone the website got updated for anyone who applied for Fall 2021 admission. Letters are gonna be sent out next week through Submittable. I don't know if you'll get it in your email that you signed up with as well. Saddleback says the paperwork session will be May 21st.

  5. Click on the Admission Requirements tab/section on the side of the Nursing homepage
  6. Good luck to you to! I'm hoping the application process will be smoother now that everything is electronic and not PDFs
  7. Hi everyone! I'll be applying to Saddleback for their Fall 2021 cohort with 83 points. I actually ended up getting into their program for Spring 202. However, I ended up accepting an offer with a BSN, but decided to end up reapplying to Saddleback, because the school and clinical sites will be closer to home. Good luck to everyone! Hopefully class will be in person ?
  8. Hi everyone. I got selected as an alternate, but I have already committed to CSULB as it was my first choice and Saddleback was a backup. I had 83 points and a counselor said to me in the history of the program the point cutoff had been below that so this pool was really competitive. Best of luck to everyone in the future!
  9. Thanks! I did not have a facebook beforehand so there's literally nothing to look at
  10. I accepted the offer and sent in the letter earlier today! Does anyone have a link to the facebook group?
  11. They moved the message if you check the sidebar under Nursing and click announcements it's there
  12. I'll back up what Ari said 100%. It's important to do questions every day especially for Reading and English. Use Carolyn McAlister for English on Youtube, she's amazing. Math for me was a piece of cake. Brandon Craft is a huge help. Make sure you fork out the money for the two practice tests ATI sells, they're worth it more than gold.
  13. Okay that makes sense, I just don't want the decision to be revoked. I'll call admission to make sure
  14. Did anyone who sent their transcript into CSULB see it come off their To Do List? It came off on mine, but now it came back. When I click on it, it says send in your official college transcript, but it says the due date is 7/15/2020. Is this happening on anyone else's side?
  15. I don't think so, I haven't gotten any kind of communication from the SoN on what vaccines we even need
  16. Hi Arty, I hate to bother you with another question, but how is the workload for first semester Nursing students? From what I've looked at it seems the curriculum is the same for first semester wether you're in trimester or semester. I only ask because I'm wondering if a 45 minute commute to CSULB would be to time consuming and if it's possible to do a part time job while in first semester. I have taken Patho and Pharm, so I might try and get those waived. If any other Nursing students wants to comment, that would also be great!
  17. If I do attend I hope I get semester.
  18. I got in!! ?
  19. I hope everything works out for you! I don't live as far south as San Diego, I live about an hour away from CSULB and I feel you about the distance.
  20. Congrats! Do you mind if I ask what ADN program you got accepted to? I also applied to an ADN program, more specifically Saddleback College and I don't think I'll hear anything till next week.
  21. I'm a transfer applicant and there was nothing on my self service just now. Huge congrats to the second degree applicants who got in! I'm thinking the rest of us will hear something by tomorrow or Thursday
  22. Ah okay, I haven't been looking at other CSULB threads to intensively. I was looking at them for a possible communication exercise date last month
  23. I got the Nutrition email too! At first I panicked, because my email hadn't refreshed and I thought I didn't get the email. I think everyone is a little on edge. I think they are asking this questions, because I was looking at the catalog and there's a Nutrition class required for first semester, I think it's NUTR 339. However, when I looked at the class schedule for Spring it wasn't listed so maybe they're trying to get an idea of whose taken a Nutrition course and if not enough people have maybe they'll add the class? When I was researching other Cal States to apply to, a good handful of them I believe required Nutrition as a prereq or a requirement to be completed within a year of admission.
  24. Thanks Northalpine and Ninja for the responses I appreciate it!
  25. I'm also a Spring 2021 applicant and I have a quick question. Does CSULB use a normal grading scale for nursing school or do they do the grading scale where only >92 is an A? I tried to look in the handbook, but it did not say. Also, if anyone can give study tips for exams and note taking tips that would also be great. Thanks for your time and I hope I'm not taking up to much of it
