  1. You only have to take the HESI if you don’t have a bachelors degree already. The sections are over math, reading, vocabulary, and grammar.
  2. @Meg21 My GPA was 3.8, I also had healthcare experience. I’ve been working as an ophthalmic technician for 5 years. I’ve heard from previous DCN students that GPA isn’t the biggest thing they look at. They look at volunteering as well if you have any healthcare experience. Good luck on your journey! I have my interview set for Thursday and will let you know how it goes. I’ve heard that the interview is super informal and if you pass your HESI you’re basically in.
  3. Thank you so much for all the insight. I have my HESI this week and my interview next week and I’m super nervous. I heard the interview is really in formal. Has anyone had their interview yet?
  4. Had anyone had their interview yet? If so how did it go? ?
  5. Same here, you got this!!
  6. @Jenn86I hope you get an email too! Fingers crossed for you!
  7. Thank you! Good luck on your interview. Hopefully you hear back from him soon. Do you have to take the HESI?
  8. My friend said it’s very informal. My interview isn’t until October. CONGRATS on getting an interview. This is a pretty exciting time in our lives!
  9. I also got an interview. I was told by a friend who’s at DCN that you’re basically accepted once you get an interview. You just have to pass the HESI if you don’t have a bachelors degree already. When is your interview?
  10. @Ang555 I was told by August 11th as well. Good luck!
  11. @Jenn86 thank you for the insight, I hope you get in! I’m anxiously awaiting August 11th!
  12. Thank you for the insight! ? Have you gone through the process already?
  13. I went to school at Pima for an ophthalmic technician. I’ve been in the ophthalmology field for 5 years now. I work patients up and assist in surgery. I have a friend I use to work with that’s in the BSN program now. Right now she is in clinicals but says everything is different. I’m anxious to see how everything will work out because of Covid. I wonder if they will reduce the number of students they take. I have 2 classes I have to take, but will be done before January 2021 start date. I was told that it wouldn’t impact the decision if I get in or not. I just wish I knew already! Do any of you have to take the HESI?
  14. I applied. Waiting anxiously for the email to see if I got an interview. Good luck to you both!
