Anyone in this thread in cohort D?!

For those asking about accepted applicant info: I was accepted into the January cohort with a prereq GPA of 3.8 and cumulative GPA of 3.4. I didn't have any outstanding prerequisites at the time of my application. I had some healthcare related work experience (CNA, Microbiology lab assistant), along with a good amount of volunteer experience. I spent a lot of time on my personal statement, which I believe was one of the key factors for my acceptance.

@CHP25 thank you so much for taking the time to share those wonderful tips -- your post really solidified my excitement for attending DCN! @Momof3 the admission requirements state that the personal essay needs to be one-page, so I would highly recommend keeping it to that. I discussed my healthcare related work experience, what skills would get me through the program, and where I saw myself as a future nurse.

hi @emarie111! my interview is scheduled for October 19th -- I believe all of the interviews for this cohort were scheduled for the month of October! When do you have yours? How has HESI preparation been going for you? @Heather de Alva?

Congratulations to those who got an interview! I have also heard from current DCON students that the interview is informal and more of an orientation meeting. I haven’t received an email yet...very anxious! @Jenn86 one of my friends who applied received an email earlier today saying she wasn’t accepted — so don’t lose hope! Hopefully we both hear back soon.
