Thank you! I had a 23 rubric score with a 3.7 and 3.8 GPA can’t remember which was pre req and overall. I made a 93 on the HESI

I just got an email for my acceptance! I will be declining my seat as I’ve already been accepted to UTHealth, but just wanted to let everyone know!

Hi guys! I just found out I got accepted! I’m so excited! I’m not sure what time I got accepted as I haven’t gotten an email yet and when I was checking the portal I was doing it on my phone. When I did this it wasn’t showing anything. I logged in to check from my actual computer right now and it says acceptance with an accept or decline. So if any of you guys are checking from your phone and it’s not showing anything it might be that FYI! Here are my stats: overall GPA: 3.6 science GPA: 3.8 HESI: 92.4

Congratulations!! Did you get any other form of notification or you just checked the portal and did it state it in the message center?

Anyone that didn’t have health insurance and has gotten it for the program, what provider or company did you go with?

On the website it says that they’re only accepting mailed in applications due to covid, which is why I initially mailed mine off. I’m not sure how the schools are operating since covid as I haven’t been to a campus since this all started. I did email an advisor and I’m just waiting on a response to see what my next step should be. I’m hoping they’ll allow the application to just be delivered in person. I’m worried cause I sent mine off and it says not delivered but it also hasn’t been returned to me and I have copies of my ss and dl in it. I don’t want to send off again and the same thing happen.

Have you guys tried emailing or calling an advisor? If it’s multiple people with the same issue I’m thinking maybe there’s no one there to accept the mail? IDK that’s just too weird. I will send another one but I don’t want to send my social and all that again and it gets lost or not delivered again ?

Yes I’ll have to send another one off tomorrow but I’m still hoping to get ahold of an advisor to ask. Can we send our email through here? I can email you and then send my number through there cause IDK if we can do that on here.

OMG same here! I tried to call the nursing advisor but she didn’t answer and I emailed. I wonder if they’ll just let us hand deliver it. I know on the website it says they can only be mailed in but on the application it still has times when you can hand deliver.

Has anyone sent in their application and it wasn’t delivered? I got a response that it couldn’t be delivered and I used the exact address on the website.

OMG thank you for clarifying! I already sent in my application and I started freaking out. I even emailed the nursing advisor to ask even though I was pretty sure they allowed that.

Did anyone not complete the series of vaccinations and just get the titers done and they come out positive like they’re supposed to? With the exception of the hep c I know that’s supposed to be negative.

Yes that’s what I did. On the application it said to just average the highest scores between the 2 attempts and that’ll be your new average.

OK, I’ll probably do that as well then! Where did you go for titers if you don’t mind me asking? Those are great stats! I don’t want to discourage you, but I did go to a meeting for Spring of 2020 and they had said they no longer take classes in progress starting that semester. I wasn’t able to apply for that semester because of that. I could be wrong and maybe they switched it back though.

Im hoping to send mine off Monday! As far as the flu shot, Blue card and physical exam goes those are to be done once you are accepted into the program correct? I think if you got the required scores and requirements to apply you shouldn’t worry! I got a 93 on the HESI, my GPA is 3.7, and with everything calculated I got a 23 for my rubric score. What about you?

LOL! I think I’m going to go ahead and do both. I have to pay to get my transcript sent over to San jac since I took the HESI for another school initially. I called and they said that takes about 7-10 business days to do and it’s $15. Just in case anyone was wondering about that as well.

Hi! When you guys submit your applications are you printing a copy of your HESI scores and putting into the envelope as well as sending over your scores via elsevier?

Does anyone know if when I retake HESI I can just take the sections I want/need? For example, just the critical thinking portion and reading? I know some schools will allow that, but I am not sure if San jac does. I passed my HESI the first time, but I didn’t take critical thinking and I want to raise my score for reading so that’s mainly what I’ve been focusing on this time around.

Hey! I’m also applying! I’m applying for central campus. Have you started your shots yet? I also have to retake the HESI. I took it when I applied to UT Cizik and made a 93 overall, but unfortunately for San jac all categories even the reading subcategories have to be above a 75. I ended up making a 94 in the reading section with all A’s in the subcategories except one I made a 69 ? so I’m having to retake to bring up that one subcategory.

That is so crazy! ??‍♀️ Good thing you got it all sorted out finally! I’m going to use the number you gave me and try to do the same Monday. I sent it way in advance so I’m just hoping me waiting this long to confirm doesn’t bite me in the butt. LOL
