Hi! I thought I'd jump in and say hi! I am applying to Calgary in the degree holder route and was waitlisted for UBC for this September. From my experience being on the waitlist this Summer, this admissions cycle is different than past years. I'm not sure if it will be the same for U of Calgary, but UBC had a lot more people accepting their initial offers than usual - this means that the waitlist was a lot slower, and less people are being accepted off of it. I think this means that more people are staying local and choosing schools that are closer to home. I'm not too sure, but thought I'd mention it since we were on the topic of COVID. I'm sure this could also change by January and differ from UBC intake.
