I would wait to pay until you’ve had your residency stuff figured out. The issue with mine was that I submitted my residency application to the Winter Haven and had to do a revision and it got submitted to the Lakeland campus. Once I got into contact with Financial Aid they told me I needed to talk with the Registrar’s office since they handle residency status. And tbh the payment plan isn’t even worth it, it’s half of the payment now and the other half on the 10th.

I ended up emailing (MODERATOR EDIT OF NAME) and he let me know what was going on (one of my forms got submitted to the lakeland campus which is what caused the issue). I had my residency issue fixed within 24 hours after that.

The only thing we were supposed to do was submit the clinical day preference

The Nursing 1 prof sent out an email (she might still be sending them out not sure) with the instructions on how to add the class that has access to clinical orientations

No, but Financial Aid told me that we will know before payment is due. Did you email financial aid or call them? I feel like depending on who I talk to it’s always something different.

Yeah, I looked at the breakdown of prices and they’ve classified me as out of state. Not sure why, I submitted my residency stuff early June and it’s been marked as received.

LOL it told me that my amount due was over $5000 so I immediately knew it was wrong. Financial Aid told me to contact the registrar’s office so I’m waiting for them to get back to me.

Is anyone having issues with their residency? I had a heart attack looking at my amount due for classes.

I think in the package it said that lectures were t/r with Tuesday being all day and Thursday being a half day. And then that we have the 8-8.5 hr clinical that can fall on any day and can be either morning or evening.

Have you tried reaching out to Dr. H? I had some issues with getting my AP scores in for my comp 1 credit and she helped ease my anxiety.

I was just thinking this as well. Looking back at past fall threads, there were A LOT more people participating so I do believe that they had few applicants. What that means in terms of admits, who knows. I’m not sure if they’ll reduce class sizes — looks like all lectures will be online. They’ll probably just have us come in for sim labs in our clinical groups, which are already small to begin with. So fingers crossed we all get in! 118-119 (recalculated with the GPA on degree audit and ended with 119)

Polk will have to let us know prior to next Friday unless they plan on having everyone participate in the orientation I feel like covid really messed with all things admissions

I knowwwww, I’m hoping they let us know today so we can either celebrate or eat our feelings away.

Me too, the anxiety is killing me ? I applied to Valencia as well, but start dates all got pushed back a semester so I’m keeping my fingers and toes crossed for Polk.

I agree, their reopening plan for fall has health sciences and a few other majors in person. I have a feeling they’ll stick to sim labs and smaller class sizes for fall.

Hey everyone! I’ve been taking a look at this thread for a while and finally decided to comment. I too applied for fall (fingers crossed) and am sitting at 118 pts. I was taking a look at degree audit to see the change that was mentioned earlier and I noticed that it’s stating my comp classes haven’t been satisfied. I have a previous bachelors degree so I’m not really sure why. Is anyone else having this issue or even something similar?
