  1. Right now I am doing the Stroke Scale education and I am wondering about patients who have receptive aphasia. How do you assess these patients for NIH standards? For example, I've had a patient with this and they could perform all the movements/tasks just not when asked. They would do them randomly throughout the day but if you asked they'd just stare at you. How do you recommend following NIH guidelines to score these patients? I've had a neurologist say just watch them throughout the day and see what they can do but some of my fellow nurses disagree. I think if they can do the task the score should be the same as if I had asked them and they completed it. Thought I'd ask the experts ?
  2. I am not short or petite, I am 125 lbs and 5'4" but my torso is ridiculously short in comparison to my legs. I wear an XS in Cherokee infinity, Skechers by barco, and healing hands but all of my shirts go below my bottom. Should I look into petite sizes? What is a regular xs in petites? Or should I look at different brands?
  3. What is the best formula to quickly determine mg/min to mL/hr? I always have trouble with these types of problems.
  4. This happened to me too! I took mine yesterday, it cut off at 60 and then I got the good pop-up. It's a holiday weekend so I probably won't get results until Monday but fingers crossed!
