  1. Selection is currently based on Cumulative GPA, Natural Science GPA, and Composite Entrance Exam Score of 60% or higher. Note the Cumulative GPA, Natural Science GPA, and ATI scores will be weighted at 33.333% in the calculation of the student’s ranking for admission. I just applied for the generic full time nursing program in August. @Natasha Duncan My advice would be to study the hell out of the science section! I aced both A&P 1+2. But that science portion killed my score. Hope that helps.
  2. Hey guys! I also applied for the Fall term, generic full time option. I had been studying for the HESI and then got the news that the test would be the TEAS instead. I took the TEAS April 30th for the first time and got a 68%. The science killed my score. If I could give any advice, I would say to definitely get the mometrix TEAS secret, and the ATI TEAS manual from the site. I passed the reading with an 87 and math 90. My science was a 46 I believe? Don't spend too much time on English considering it's only 20% of your overall grade. I'm worried about getting in because of that score, but my science GPA is a 3.8 and overall is a 3.18. But we'll see! Did you guys take yours?
  3. I'm applying for the generic Nursing full time program for Fall 2020. Just took my TEAS about a month ago. What I learned it to definitely focus on the science section! I have the TEAS secrets, and the TEAS manual study guide, and still, they pull some questions that I haven't seen in either manual. I made the mistake by not honing in on that section, and I did horribly on science. Got a 68 overall because of it. My sciences GPA is 3.8 and my overall is 3.18. Getting nervous about getting in. If anyone has taken the TEAS, applied to the program and gotten in, please share!
  4. @Chavy I also live in Miami and was deciding which school to go to. From the research I've done I decided MDC would be best. The cost is unbeatable, and all my friends who are nurses told me that it's up to you to get out there and find a job. Doesn't matter so much about where you graduated and passed your NCLEX from. Can I ask you what you got on your TEAS to get in for MDC?! I took mine once, did horrible and got a 68, and now I don't have time to retake them and I'm a bit worried. MY science GPA is a 3.8 and overall 3.18. ?
  5. Awesome. That would be really helpful When I spoke with an advisor she emphasized that I have really strong science scores, and 150 people get in. She never advised me to take it again, but I'm still worried. ? And yes I'm applying for August.
  6. Hi everyone! For all the pre nursing students, could you please share your stories about getting into a nursing program and what you got on your TEAS. I'm stressing about my score and don't have time to re-take it before the deadline! My school's requirements to be considered are a composite score of 60 or above on the TEAS, 2.5 GPA in sciences, and 2.0 cumulative GPA My current sciences GPA is 3.8 Cumulative GPA is 3.18 TEAS score: 68 ( horrible) Thanks!
