I can. Mine showed up yesterday. I submitted my FAFSA back in March.

I’m having to take out a loan. I haven’t gotten anything yet. Financial aid told me disbursements were not until August 17th. I had put money aside to get by until the loan. I think you don’t have to pay for classes until the 30th. maybe grants go out faster.

Maybe don’t say it’s for school. I told them it was for the nursing program and I had to pay even though I have insurance. My insurance covered my bloodwork though. But I had to pay out of pocket for the physical.

The newer options for Cherokee are a lot softer but I have wider hips and they just don’t work haha. I got the Dansk brand shoes and a Speidel watch. Megs had the Polk State Uniforms 40% off a few days ago.

I called and they told me the disbursements were not until August 17th. That’s also what it says on the Polk state academic calendar. It doesn’t make sense to me why it is so late. It also says first time recipients date is September 17th.

I wonder how they are going to do clinical’s. I didn’t realize we were allowed in hospitals.

You are not even joking. I’m waiting for COVID results as we speak. I’m hoping I have enough time to quarantine before all of this starts. (If I get in) and hopefully I don’t get extremely sick.

So Denise emailed me back and said we should have our emails by the end of this week!!! It’s so close!

I doubt Polk would close for the fall. They didn’t want to even go online the end of last Spring.

No ?but the cardiologist tech students got theirs today. We will receive notification if we got into the nursing program via email.

Usually about 2 weeks. If you don’t get anything definitely call though. If you don’t respond to an acceptance you can lose your spot.

I calculated mine but I used the GPA calculator on Polk’s website to calculate my prerequisite GPA.

The waiting is definitely the worst part for me! ? As soon as I get anything in the mail I will post it. I’m sitting at a 115.7. it’s crazy how close the Spring application is to the Fall this year.

Lower scores may be accepted it’s hard to tell. I doubt they will take anyone below the minimum requirements though.

I agree. I know I have a child at a polk county school and they are talking about only going every other day when school starts back. I have a way around it but, a lot of people don’t. Also a lot of people are out of work or their spouse is and no longer can afford to go to school right now. Still study like competition is steep but, I don’t think it will be as bad.

I think this is gonna be very different with everything going on.
