  1. Good luck!! And have a great thanksgiving:)
  2. Congrats! I would say to really nail down your answer to the question “tell us about yourself” there are some great Youtube videos about how to answer this questions correctly and make a great first impression. Also prepare for some behavioral questions. Like name a time when you had a conflict with another employee or a manager and why you choose these units? Things like that. Using the STAR format to answer questions like this helps you stay to the point and answer correctly (situation, task, action taken, and result). I went and found a ton of random behavioral questions on the internet and then wrote answers to them. That way you have a base answer for different types of questions and you can tailor the answer to met what it is they ask exactly. Develop a few questions to ask them. Ask about why they like Piedmont, ask about the program and show that you know the company’s mission. If you are interested in continuing education ask about what Piedmont has to offer. If they choose you they want to make an investment into someone who cares and wants to grow/learn. Then review concepts like Stroke, MI, Infection, HF. What are the basic things you are going to look out for and what you would do. For example your pt develops chest pain, what are your first steps? You'll do great!
  3. Is anyone else on the cardiopulmonary progressive care unit?
  4. I’m not sure, my schedule just says to leave the first week open after orientation. Kind of hoping for 3 12s though!
  5. Hey! Sorry I'm just seeing this! How did the interview go for you?
  6. BarbOli I say keep trying! It's frustrating but being the squeaky wheel can pay off! Tzapp87 that is amazing! The CVICU will be a great experience. CONGRATS! ?
  7. It took them a little bit like 3 weeks I think! Once they did and I had a call with the recruiter I had to follow up about an interview because I hadn’t heard anything. she did say they were busy right now getting everything set for the Summer cohort to start so that might be why?
  8. Hi everyone! I was hoping to get to know some people who are applying/ accepted offers at Piedmont for the fall new grad program in Atlanta. I had an interview with them two days ago and was offered a few of the cardiac progressive care units. Woohoo! I am from Colorado and will be moving to Atlanta in September before the residency program starts.
  9. @echill40 I was scrolling through this post and saw you got a job on the cardiac step down unit at piedmont Atlanta! I just had an interview with them and was offered a few different cardiac progressive care units including the step down. woohoo! I was wondering if you have any advice about these units? Im struggling to pick between cardiac step down or cardiopulmonary progressive care I think and they want me to make a choice by tomorrow. Any input helps!
