I contacted the clinical coordinator. They intervene once you can prove that five different offices have denied you under five separate healthcare groups in the area. They also require the reason for being rejected along with the contact information.
Thank you for the suggestion about applying to my state NP association. I didn't know I could do that as a student! It's unfortunate that they make this process so difficult- it makes it challenging to complete the necessary requirements. Any suggestions on how to navigate this are much appreciated!
Hello, Are there any Nurse practitioners in the Northern New Jersey area that accept FNP students for practicum rotations? My university requires its students to locate their clinical sites and placements.
I did the bridge program at Jersey College in Teterboro a few years ago. I was initially enrolled at a community college for my associate's degree, but it was going to take longer than if I attended the bridge program at Jersey College. It is expensive, but I was able to pass the NCLEX on the first try and get a job right away.
I'm currently an MSN-FNP student at Chamberlain University. We are required to locate our own practicum sites and preceptors. The requirements are that the preceptor is an NP with at least one year of experience, and it has to be in an outpatient setting. I'm wondering if anyone in NJ has found any preceptors or practicum sites that they recommend?
