Aesthetic Nursing vs Hospital Nursing
I am a new graduate and have offers at laser away as an aesthetic RN and also in med surg. Would you recommend to start in med surg or hospital and later do aesthetic nursing? I am just worried if I do aesthetic nursing it limits me as to what other types of jobs I will be able to do in the future. I do want to become an aesthetic nurse in the future but I know that you are also more limited if that is the only type of nursing you do and the area you live does not have that many medical spas. I think I eventually want to become a nurse practitioner. Thank you.

Same here! It was pretty difficult especially if you get really nervous during interviews or haven't memorized all of your stories. Be prepared to think of a time when you had to make a difficult decision or a situation in which you did not know what to do but what you did in that situation. Good luck everyone!

Hi, I think it went OK. I would say to be prepared for scenario based questions and also think of examples from clinical of caring for cancer patients.

question about career support new nurse
Hello, I am a new graduate nurse that has started working in an outpatient cancer center. So I do chemo and immunotherapy infusions as well as managing patient with sickle cell disease. I wanted to also get experience as a med surg nurse but was wondering how to do that I have 3 days off every week and was wondering if any hospital hires new grads as per diem or if I should just wait until after 1 year. I am just nervous that after 1 year it will not be enough experience to go into inpatient or acute care. I would like to have the experience of both because I eventually want to be a nurse practitioner.
