I got an email from someone in WHNP department stating that my application didn't make the cut for Summer 25 because they didn't have enough time to finish reviewing before Summer started. And stated they only admit for summers for the WHNP program and so if I'd like to be considered for Summer 26. I'm really sad ? but this is the school I really want to attend so I guess that means no for school for me anytime soon. Did anyone hear the same? I was in disbelief

Congratulations ? it sucks having to wait so long! I applied over a month ago and didn't apply anywhere else.

Finally got a reply! "I am still reviewing and learning the new system. You should be hearing something soon."

I wish they would atleast tell us are applications are getting pushed back if they're. LOL For like work reimbursements and stuff.

Right that's what I was thinking too. And when I looked at course catalog all Summer classes have 0 open seat but like 84 seats for fall. So hopefully we get in the fall. I would love to have the Summer off LOL. But it does suck to wait to know if you got in or not.

Yeah I assumed the same thing. Because if you look at the classes 0 seats left for Summer but they have a lot of seat left for fall. So fingers crossed! But that means we probably won't hear back until like July. Cause they take forever to process info.

I agree, I felt like my answers weren't perfect at all. I felt like I was over talking! The whole process is just nerve racking I remember doing breathing exercises in the waiting room ?

Honestly depending on the question I feel like it could vary also depending on the unit. I personally didn't have much clinical experience beside nursing clinical but I let them know from the jump and when I spoke on my work history I made sure to focus on skills that were relatable to that unit that made me a good candidate. For example a server you learn to have great communication skills from that job and you could give an example. And so when behavioral questions came up I would pull from my job experience rather than my clinical more . I hope that made sense and helps! But overall just have lots of scenarios to pull from or make a list and depending on the question you can pull responses from those experiences and tell a story.

Mother Baby and honestly interviews are hard in general!! I was starting to feel discouraged but what I felt I did really different for this one was show my personality and not follow some sort of script. But I'm sure you did great, don't lose hope! You got this! ❤️

Hey! I felt it went really great. I had one person and she made me feel really relaxed and was super friendly. She asked me like 3 behavioral questions and just wanted to know how I would handle a situation like that. Be yourself most importantly. I can't speak for all locations but if you get to have an interview with her you will do great if you just be yourself. Also you got this!

Hey!! Congrats on landing an interview with Baylor Irving! I also landed one for the 23rd for postpartum. I was curious what time did you schedule your interview for? Mine is scheduled for 10:30am and I'm so nervous LOL! Also what are you doing to prepare and have you gotten anything from the recruiter with interview information.

I did not unfortunately. I don't know why they would say 24hrs-48hrs to not follow through.
