Bio 141 and PSY 230 are the only two glades that count in the ranking! So you’re fine, plus if they did count in the ranking they would just look at your transcripts!

The exact opposite kind of happened to me! I was going to go to Orlando for school but then got waitlisted and bc covid happened we had to stay here. But I know quite a lot about UCF, Valencia and Seminole state if you’re going to Orlando for nursing school!

Hey guys, for all my applicants who got an “accidental” acceptance letter. This is what I just got. It also states that TEAS will not be used for next cycle either. All I’m saying is if I am physically unable to improve my application, because I got a 4.0 and completed all my co-reqs and DID NOT get in this semester, why would I waste my time submitting another application next semester when it will be the same scenario. Too many applicants, no way to differentiate. This is so disappointing. The whole point of it being a “competitive” program, is that we can take this exam and improve our score and give us a better chance.

I agree. I understand extending the deadline, because maybe some of the 8 week classes were delayed with posting their grades. other than that, there was no reason to waive the TEAS. There are people who got in and never even took the TEAS. I took it twice to improve my score. I couldn’t imagine waiting 2 weeks before the deadline to take it just once. It just doesn’t make sense to me.

When did you apply? I did apply March 26, but I called the MEC counselor and they said you will not be penalized if you apply after the March 20th deadline, because they extended it until April 20th. I’ve noticed a lot of people got in who applied multiple times. I just don’t understand why waive the TEAS. I think they were “trying” to be fair by waiving it and extending the deadline, but all they did was invite 550 people to apply and not accept the people who have completely maxed out the requirements

I don’t think that’s the case. I’m in your exact same position, but I’m a VA resident. Still didn’t get in with the 4.0 prerequisites and completed co-reqs

We’re military too, husband is at the pentagon but we live in fairfax city. I really cannot understand how they did the ranking.

I just don’t understand how some people got in and some didn’t, even if their stats were better. Please let us know the response! I’ve reached out to mec nursing and mec counselor. I’ll give updated information when I can! Hopefully they respond tomorrow! Also, if they sent out all the acceptance letters how can they say 60-80? Wouldn’t they know an exact number?

The only difference for me is I live in Fairfax City, but I didn’t really think that I was far enough away because they said Northern VA (and supporting counties)

Did everyone who got in have A’s in PSY 230 & BIO 141, with all co-reqs completed, and live in the surrounding counties?

What was your GPA and how many co-reqs did you complete?

I got an acceptance letter, then 5 minutes later I get an correction email for rejection. This is awful.
