  1. Hi to those who started this Spring, how’s it going so far? I’m in the process of applying for Spring 23. Any advice or tips are greatly appreciated!
  2. Hi I’m thinking about applying as well. Can anyone share their GPSA or more info on what they look for on acceptance into the program?
  3. Hi! I'm also applying for Spring 23. I am sending over my transcripts & stuff this Friday. I've already taken all of the pre-reqs so I'm hoping that ups my ranking & my chances of getting in. Good luck to you!
  4. Yes I’ve been looking into LPN programs. My financial aid ran out while I was in the BSN program. I know it’s a way more affordable option if I’m paying out of pocket. Thanks for the kind words!
  5. I pray they do! Thank you! Emailing you now
  6. So I’ve been academically dismissed from my BSN program and honestly I feel so ashamed. I’m trying not to be down & trying to strategize. Just want to hear from others who’ve been in my shoes & find out what my next move should be? I do plan on applying to ADN / ASN programs since I’ll be paying out of pocket. And it will be way more affordable to go to a tech / community college than another university. I guess my main question is, will I have to submit my transcripts from this failed BSN program to other nursing schools that I’m applying to? Or should I just leave that info out?
  7. I did some research on direct-entry MSN programs a couple years ago when I was trying to decide on ASN, ABSN, traditional BSN, or MSN. From what I researched there are some direct-entry MSN programs where you're basically graduating with a generalist masters degree in nursing.. which is why I decided not to go this route.. Didn't make sense to me as I knew I ultimately want to be a Psych NP. Since you're still undecided on what you want to do specialty wise, why not just apply to ABSN or ASN programs in the area where you're moving? If that's not an option look into direct-entry MSN in something like clinical nurse leadership or something that would allow you to get a good job after graduating.. From what I researched, graduating with a generalist MSN doesn't guarantee better pay.. you're still a new grad w/no experience if you know what I mean. Also, look into the state BON for the area you live in now/ area you might be moving to & start researching the schools listed. Also, it's possible to get the generalist MSN & just get a post-master's cert in a specialized field like FNP or Psych. You'd have to look into RN-MSN programs. Not sure how it works if you want to be a CNM. Hope this helps!
  8. Congrats! And that’s awesome that you won’t have to pay so much out of pocket. We have a chamberlain nursing group. Let me know if you want to be added :-)
  9. Yes! Can you add me please
  10. Oh okay cool & that’s good you have support! I’ll probably just go part time at work
  11. Oh okay cool! Hopefully it’s the same class times. Yea I definitely need study buddies! Sounds good. Thanks for the welcome! Yea I’m hoping by January we’ll be on campus. Do you work? I’m trying to figure out how my work schedule will be these next few months. I’m off work Monday-Wednesday for now but I wasn’t sure how the class schedule is?
  12. IDK who I have for transitions but I have Bolden for critical reasoning. I take Micro w/lab & health & wellness in November
  13. Yea I’m taking transition to the nursing profession, critical reasoning, & university seminar. What about you?
  14. Hey! No don’t think there’s one but we should start one
  15. Oh cool! And that’s good to know. I’m excited though! Wanted this for so long. Can’t wait to start!
  16. Thanks! And yup that’s the book
  17. I only studied for like 2 weeks LOL & I got a 73. I used the HESI exam review but I mostly studied from the mometrix site cause they have free practice tests. Also used the free ones on nurse hub. Highest scores were in reading, grammar, & vocab
  18. I start at the Atlanta campus August 31st but the app process is the same. Initially they waived my HESI & just based acceptance on GPA & evaluated transcripts from my prior schools. I had 45 credits that I was able to transfer in. I actually just took the HESI yesterday. What they’re doing is accepting students & just having them take HESI at a later date. I took the exam online through ProctorU.
  19. Great! Thank you! I graduate Fall 2022, most likely December. How do you like it & when do you graduate?
  20. Keep calling! Don’t get discouraged.
  21. Good luck! Who is your admissions rep? You kinda have to bug them & check in regularly but once you’re accepted the response times are shorter, at least in my experience
  22. Thanks! Hmm that’s a good question. I wonder if you can call the school & ask them. And hopefully you’ll hear something before September!
  23. Not really. You have to take the HESI though not the TEAS. It’s expensive so it’s better to apply if you have all your pre-reqs completed or most of them completed
  24. So I actually got accepted to Chamberlain Atlanta. I still haven’t heard back from Perimeter. Has anyone heard back from them yet?
  25. Hey! I just got accepted to the Atlanta campus. Just looking to connect with other students that will be starting this Fall ? let’s connect with one another. I would also like to start a facebook group for the cohort if anyone is interested
