Unfortunately, I haven't heard anything yet regarding interviews, we just got an email about an in person orientation in August so I'm guessing they're done with the applications now or they already have their set number of students. The final deadline for applications was in March I think and tbh, I will advise for you to join the info sessions that they usually have and ask them directly.

I applied in December and I got an email for an interview next week. I think students have till March to apply but priority deadline was in January.

Hello Everyone, I am creating this chat for those that applied to CSULA's PMHNP program starting Fall 2026. We can keep people updated on the interview process coming up or relevant information that needs to be shared related to the program starting in August. Previous students are also welcome to share tips and expectations of the program before we start. Please feel free to comment if you applied to other NP programs at CSULA as well.

I was internal so I didn't have to do Employee health. I asked for uniforms, he said the first week is virtual so we're going to be at home. I'll probably do more announcements during this week.

Tbh, it was just personality questions and experience. I didn't get no scenarios except when they asked about patient teaching. They want to see your passion and previous experience maybe through clinical, preceptorship, or volunteering. Also if you're going to stay after the residency. Mostly I'll say personality.

I interviewed on Wednesday and girl it was a drilling moment. I was talking from 11:45 to 12:25am?... questions back to back. But I was well prepped. I had my preceptorship at an L&D unit so I had some experience and they saw my passion. I received the email this morning at 9:30 am with details of receiving the official offer letter with 72 hours.

I got an email guys that I was selected into L&D... they said within 72 hours they'll send the offer letter and I should accept it within 24hrs. good luck to everyone waiting!!

They told me the recruiters will call you by tomorrow but latest Monday if you're selected

OMG! Now you've made me nervous. I'm so sorry. You never know, sometimes we think we didn't do good but just to end up getting called. pray about it. is there any tips you can give us?

LOL... we should switch then. I got a call bock from Transitional Care unit. She basically said it's like a geriatric unit with patients that are awaiting discharge. I have an interview next Thursday. did they tell you what the pay was for Good Samaritan

I got a call back from Whittier but I really wanted Good Samaritan.

Hello Ladies, I also got a call from them to today for DOU, they asked me a few questions and told me about the unit. I have an in person interview next Thursday at 3pm. so watch out for their calls this week.

I don't know that either but I intend to show her the listing when next we meet. She's an NP and and works in the different units but I'm still trying to figure why they'll do that

I met a nurse who works at Huntington's L&D and she told me they're not hiring new grad nurses for their unit. I was kind of surprised, I'm like it's part of the units we can apply to for their new grad program. I actually applied to the day and night shift position. she said they hired a lot of new grads for L&D the last cohort and that they don't have openings right now. So maybe they'll keep our applications till December or when they need more people they'll call us. I'm like what!! That explains why they haven't called anyone for L&D. LOL But my question is, why would you guys post the position if it's not open. Kind of weird but let's see.

I haven't received anything or heard back for L&D, not even a rejection email. I also applied to all the L&D position listed.

I haven't heard anything at all. Same for Good Samaritan. I responded but nothing back

I already got 2 rejection emails from NICU and the birthing center I think. I will also encourage everyone to apply to other places. MLK is hiring as of now.
