I already answered it for you. Unless your case was completely dismissed via judge finding you not guilty then yes you have to report it

Sorry to bother you but how did your school not find out about your shoplifting case if you got arrested during the Summer?

Hey how did your school not find out about your petty theft case? Wouldn't the arrest still show up on your background check?
