Did anyone else receive the news today that LAHC will not be continuing with a Fall 2020 Cohort

I think it’s only lottery when too many people want one option over the other.

I wanted to share that I was originally alternate #5 and I got a call on Tuesday May 12th ☺️??? I don’t to have a room for share or anything but what is your price range? Like for a room for rent?

Hey so what alternate number were you for SAC before they called you today? Are you alternate #3 or #4 because my friend who’s #2 got a call from Santa Ana Friday and accepted their offer. Just trying to find out where I am on the list because I was originally #5.

I’m not accepted into SAC only an alternate. I may go with what is guaranteed until further notice.

I’m honestly not too sure but I have all A’s in anatomy, physiology, and Microbiology and 1,500 as a CNA.

I applied to both as well but live like 3 minutes from Santa Ana College. Unfortunately I’m an alternate as of right now . I’m also still waiting on Saddleback response as I did apply ☺️ I’d say accept your offer if it’s your only acceptance right now. However if you end up getting accepted into Saddleback call Santa Ana back and rescind you’re offer. LOL there are many people like me waiting to get a spot from the alternate list ??

Will we receive some sort of official email saying we are officially cleared now that the May 8th deadline has passed?

I noticed that ‼️ All the LA schools are behind or haven’t even given an update yet.

Hello this is an email I received April 19 from a faculty member on the response date.

You can easily accept the first schools offer. If you get an acceptance from Saddleback let the first school know via email or phone call you are rescinding your acceptance because you decided to accept another schools offer. Just make sure you do let the first school know if you make that decision. That’s why every school has 10-20 alternates. At the end of the day we can only attend one program. If you’re blessed enough to have more than one acceptance after thinking you should decide on one. It will solidify your plan and also help an alternate who's waiting to get an opportunity to be in a nursing program. They always have encouraged us to apply to more than one school especially in California due to how impacted it is. So they understand and anticipate people to change their minds whether it’s due to school preferences, financial reasons, or even choosing a school that’s closer to you. That’s just my advice though ? Wish you and all of us in this thread good luck and hopefully a response in the next week.
