  1. I don’t know about the transfer courses, I believe you can contact someone from the graduate admissions office to get an answer. The total tuition for the program is about $68,000, divided into three semesters.
  2. Hey! I have been debating between both programs for a very long time. Mount Sinai: Pros: lower tuition than Pace, offers Scholarships, clinicals take place at Mount Sinai hospitals, program time length is great. Mount Sinai hospitals have a good reputation. Cons: the new location in East Harlem is unfavorable and unsafe (if you Google the subway station near the school, you’ll find out a lot), and the commute (for me) is longer. There are some negative reviews on the Mount Sinai forum on this site. Pace: Pros: great location, program time length is short, commute (for me) is easier, high NCLEX passing rate, I heard there are great clinical placements. Cons: high tuition, clinicals taking place in the tri-state area and they choose them for you (however, I hope after this pandemic ends, this changes), does not offer scholarships. Some negative reviews on this forum and past Pace ABSN forums. There are both positive and negative reviews for both programs on this site. A nursing degree is a nursing degree no matter which program you graduate from, as long as you can pass the NCLEX. You still have the opportunity to hold the same positions as graduates from other colleges. I would suggest to go with what program is safer, faster, easier, and/or cheaper for you! Good luck.
  3. Same here. This location is actually a deciding factor between another program I’m thinking about. If it had been in its original Midtown location, I would have leaned more towards this school. I know several people who work/live around East Harlem and the Bronx who are telling me East Harlem is a dangerous place.
  4. The only new update I know of so far is on the Pace applicant status portal account. There's a new tab I saw titled Next Steps that has more information. I would suggest checking your Pace email regularly as well, although I haven't received any significant email yet. Congratulations! Yes, I haven't been able to find the FB group either but would love to join.
  5. I read that this program is in hybrid form. Will this mean that some of our courses will be online, and that we would come in sometimes for in-person classes/clinicals? Also, the new location in upper Manhattan is unfavorable due to the unsafe reputation of East Harlem. Do any classes/clinicals occur in the evening/night?
  6. I am very thankful for this discussion here. Mount Sinai was my primary choice due to the association with the hospital and tuition. Have you heard anything about Pace University in comparison? The tuition is higher, but if it’s more organized and will prepare me more for the NCLEX, it may be a better choice.
  7. Thank you so much for this information, I appreciate it. I’ve heard a couple of negative things about this program, but this program is one of my top choices and I’m glad to see good things about it.
  8. Are there any former or current Pace ABSN students that can give some tips and advice on this program? Is there anyone on this thread that has good info about this program as well? Thank you.
  9. Yes! I am applying for the Fall 2020 semester and I was wondering if there are any former or current students who could give some tips and advice on this program please.
  10. I am in the same position. I have not heard back from anyone regarding my status, so I am assuming that I didn’t get in. I also applied back in February. I also only found out that the Summer program was not happening by reading this thread, not by receiving an email. One thing I know is that the application is still open until May 1st, so I hope we still have a chance of getting in.
