  1. They are not going to tell you anything other than the “official” acceptance date (April 14th). In reality, all acceptances will be offered way before then. If you’re not accepted in the next week it’s safe to assume you were either denied or waitlisted.
  2. I just want to wish all of y’all good luck in your applications! I’m a current J1 (first semester) and the student government representative for my cohort. I know how anxiety provoking this process can be and just know that whatever the outcome, your on the right step ? -Austin
  3. HESI: 94 Pre-Req GPA: 3.79 Science GPA: 4.00
  4. This waiting game will be very hard. All I can tell myself is that I submitted a competitive application and whatever comes was meant to be. I just would really love to be able to begin my education as soon as possible. I would be thrilled to have that opportunity. Really though good luck to everyone! Honestly this forum seemed a lot les active than some years past. Hopefully this semester somehow had less interest with everything going on in the world lmao probs not.
  5. Yet when I talked to --------------- (admissions coordinator) she made it seem like it the registrar didn’t have it on September 1st then they won't consider your application. I don't know what to believe all I know is that they got my last transcript on the 1st thank god.
  6. I received this email the day after I submitted my application and then I received my login later the same day.
  7. LOL I mentioned the receptionist attitude above. I’m sure it’s the same lady ? I ask the simplest of questions and immediately she can’t be bothered.
  8. It took like 24 hours until I received my login info. And yeah I just kept calling and calling. Today the voicemail was being routed to one of the office peoples personal number? It was saying: you’ve reached the ______ family residence.... lmao. And the lady who took my call today didn’t have the best attitude.
  9. Has anyone asked UT if they will accept online science lab credits for this semester (Fall 2020)? I know they are accepting them for Spring and Summer 2020 but I havent heard about fall. I mean they really have to since basically all college classes are online this semester. In person wasn’t an option for San Jac A&P II and MicroBio.
  10. Unfortunately the SOS system doesn’t specify whether it will be sent electronically or mailed. The registrars office makes the decision without you knowing. And when you call the main customer service office they basically tell you they don't know and to wait and see. And then I asked if I could talk to someone directly at the registrars office and they told me no. I was saying like “yeah thats great and all but I HAVE to know because the deadline is in two business days and if its mailed they absolutely won't get it in time”. THANK GOD the UT head registrar replied to an email I sent and gave me the contact info to a lady who works in the San Jac registrars office (she use to work at UT) and she was able to fix everything for me. And yep it turns out the ones I had sent through SOS were being mailed so I would of been screwed if I hadn’t gotten ahold of her.
  11. Update: I was able to get ahold of someone at the San Jac registrars office and she was able to get UT Health to show up under the list of colleges to send too. I’m not sure how long its been this way but she said that their school code had changed so it hadn’t been showing up as an option. She was able to get my transcript sent to UT on Friday so I’m crossing my fingers that UT has it in their system by the end of Tuesday. She said it usually doesn’t take longer than 1 or 2 days if its electronic. My one from UH only took 2 days. Also, my HESI is no longer on the to-do list! I was on the phone for 3 hours on Friday trying to get this figured out. The San Jac one probably won't clear from my list because I have “in progress” classes there. So I’ll call on Monday to check. All of this could of been avoided if they just clearly said that you don't have to have your HESI scores to submit the application. If that was the case I would of sent it a month ago.
  12. I’m having much of the same issue. I have two transcripts (one from UH and one from San Jac). The UH one has been delivered and received. The San Jac one I’ve had lots of problems with. San Jac transcript service didn’t list UTHealth Registrars Office as a place to send to and they only had listed “University of Texas MD Anderson“ (another college at UT Health). I sent it there for good measure because I couldn’t clarify with someone because of the hurricane closure. I was told by San Jac today that I’ll just have to basically wait and see if it gets received by UT. I mean its not like my future depends on these being sent -__- I had been under the impression that you needed to have your HESI scores before you submitted your application and my HESI had been rescheduled to just three days ago. I was even willing to pick up my transcript and hand deliver to UT but nope thats not allowed. I’m on the verge of a breakdown here... I don't even know why they ask for you to type in your HESI scores on the application... you should be fine and they will receive your scores electronically. If you have in progress work on transcript, it will continue to show on the to-do list. The only way to see if it’s been received is to call. But good luck getting ahold of anyone at the registrars office. However, the student affairs office (713.500.2100) was able to check if it had been put into the system.
  13. Just returned from taking my HESI and received a 94% overall! Here’s the breakdown: Reading Comp: 94% Grammar: 88% Vocabulary: 92% A&P: 96% Math: 98% PocketPrep app was super helpful.
  14. No I don’t believe so. The website states they only look at the overall score of each category.
  15. I have been trying to call and email for OVER a week with no response. If I don’t get anything by Monday I’m calling and I’ll be forceful. When I called today the operator responded like this was an ongoing problem. I take my test the 25th! I’m not so worried about the HESI scores because they absolutely will be sent on time (I’m taking with Prometric) but it’s my transcripts I’m worried about. They recommend you submit your application and then send transcripts. That doesn’t give me much time to have those sent.
  16. I would wait a couple days to see if they receive it. Maybe wait till this coming Wednesday. If not, call Elsevier and tell them the importance of having your scores sent to UT. In previous years I’ve heard of them expediting it really quickly if you tell them your deadline is soon. Yes those are the only science pre-reqs. You MUST take the lecture and lab for all of them. You need to have at least 8 total hours of science pre-reqs completed to apply. So basically two of those.
  17. Hey there! I will be taking MicroBio and A&P II in the fall. In one of the information sessions they mentioned that they do NOT give priority to people who have completed all pre-reqs and that as long as you’ve taken the minimum for consideration, your application will be viewed equally to everyone else. Hope this helps!
  18. Hey there! To calculate your GPA you’ll want to write down the grade you received for every required pre-requisite (required pre-reqs can be found here: https://nursing.uth.edu/prospstudent/BSN/prerequisiteguide.htm) and you can enter them into this website: https://gpacalculator.net/college-GPA-calculator/ You will need to know what grade you earned and the number of credits for each course. That will be your cumulative (aka your pre-req GPA). You also want to do another calculation of JUST your science courses (including A&P 1 & 2, MicroBio, and Chemistry). This will be your sciences GPA. You can use the same website I listed above to calculate the GPA. The average cumulative GPA for pacesetter program is currently a 3.5 (as listed on the UTHealth website). Please know that I’ve looked at a lot of forum posts on here and have attended an information session and you absolutely should not be discouraged if you have a lower GPA or test score. It appears that the admissions process is very randomized to a certain point and there are people with perfect GPA’s and near perfect test scores who don't get in but others may have a 3.3 GPA and a high 80’s HESI score and get in the first time they apply. Respond back if you have any other questions!
  19. No there’s just one application for the pacesetter program. You can email them about specific questions but in my experience they can take awhile to respond (if at all). You can post questions here as well and I’m sure people on here are glad to answer. I attended the most recent info session.
  20. I scheduled for late August with UTHealth code and Prometric. Dates might still be available (in August) and I havent gotten any cancelation.
  21. It’s definitely insane. I just prefer not to do a test through ProcterU. I find online proctoring to be very distracting and I can never concentrate. Plus I’ve seen people have issues with getting scores sent when not using the UT code. I just want to be safe than sorry. If I was going to take it more than once I’d definitely do a trial run with another school.
  22. Just scheduled my HESI for August 26th! I didn’t see any available dates in July (at least at the one open test center in Houston). So schedule asap! Also, it really was $115 ? ? ? I guess you pay for the convenience of having the results being sent straight to UT. I would of hand delivered the thing on a chariot for that price.
  23. So who else is just supper nervous about applying? ? ? I literally check the pacesetter website every day even though I’ve read it several times haha. Also supper nervous about taking my Summer classes (critical for having a good academic record to submit). Really nervous about taking anatomy (took in HS and didn’t do so well, might of been because it was my senior year and I wasn’t very motivated). I’m really going to have no time to rest for AWHILE. Just gotta keep telling myself it all has a purpose in the end ?
  24. THE UT HEALTH CODE FOR HESI IS WORKING!! You can now use the code to request a testing appointment (you’ll get an email).
  25. I’m inclined to say that while they may post the cumulative GPA on the transcript evaluations, I’m pretty sure they dont look at it when making their admission decisions (only the pre-req and science GPA). At least thats according to their official policy on admissions criteria. I've also been looking at previous year applicants on here and I think many of them just said “cumulative GPA” when they meant to say “pre-req GPA”.
