  1. You are doing the right thing. I too am in a similar boat. Called out last shift and sending in resignation soon. Can’t even give two weeks notice in these circumstances. ICU Nurse with great coworkers and manager. Feel like I am betraying them, but my son who has a rare lung disease needs care. Can’t afford to expose him. We don’t have family to turn to. Me and my hubby are the only ones for our kids. Feel guilt leaving the job. It’s tough. But child not replaceable. Hoping I don’t face future Repurcurtions when I seek a job. Always have been 100% dedicated at work.
  2. As I mentioned in a prior posting, I am a ICU Nurse in the thick of covid 19 with a child who has respiratory issues from birth. I am thinking seriously of not going back starting next shift due to huge concerns that I may bring the virus to my child. My anxiety is at a all time high ever since I have started working with covid patients in the ICU. Feel like a coward! Torn between being a concerned mom and a dedicated nurse. I am sending in my resignation and feel miserable. But also know deep inside that this is the right thing to do
  3. I am a ICU nurse and work once a week past 6 months because of school obligations. I am quitting my job as I speak - I have a son who has genetic respiratory issues and I am scared I will expose him. I am scared his lungs will give up if infected with covid 19. I feel extremely guilty leaving my work, but I also believe I am doing the right thing by my child. It's hard to walk away, but its worth it to see my son live well. Tired emotionally!!
