University of Texas at Arlington Fall 2020 Cohort
Has anybody needed to do Chest X-ray for TB screening? My blood test came out positive. I have already talked to my PCP and she had ordered for chest X-ray. I am waiting for the call from the lab for the appointment schedule. I am just wondering how long might it take for the chest Xray report to come back.

Exactly, AOBSN is so competitive and I don’t think anyone with low GPA has any chance to get in unless they are partnered or have lots of consideration. Even I have seen partnered people on waitlist. My advisor always used to say that I have a pretty high chance to get in with 4 GPA. He used to say above 7.5 points is competitive, but it is false information for AOBSN. I have seen people with above 8 points getting waitlisted.- UTA Spring 2021 AO BSN/BSN Cohort
You should be good with that points. I have 8 points with no considerations and currently on a waitlist. I saw one guy get pulled out of waitlist with 7.95 points for Dallas location Last week. I think it also depends on the students pool for a particular location. I have applied for San Antonio and I heard it’s so competitive. I also have heard that there is less student pool for Spring compared to fall. With 8.4 points you will get accepted.- University of Texas at Arlington Fall 2020 Cohort

Their AOBSN is very competitive. I think being partnered will be the best thing to do If you can do. I have 4 science and 4 overall GPA, but got waitlisted. I have no other consideration and I can’t do anything to raise my points. But, I have seen Partnered people with 6.9 points getting in.- University of Texas at Arlington Fall 2020 Cohort

You are completely right. It is so unfair to all the students who had worked so hard. I heard from a friend that someone with 6.5 was accepted for fall 2020 just because that person was working in the partnered hospital. I have seen people with greater than 7.5 points on the waitlist and it is so unfair.- University of Texas at Arlington Fall 2020 Cohort
I will not recommend this program to anyone who doesn’t have any considerations which can add up to their points like military and other bachelor degree. It is extremely hard (may be impossible) for non-UTA students with no other considerations to get in. It is so discouraging to find out that someone with 6.5 getting into the program and with 8 points waiting on the waitlist. They should either increased the seats or stop prioritizing students working on partnered hospitals or should only give certain number of seats for them and allow them to competite with others.- University of Texas at Arlington Fall 2020 Cohort

But, I was also contacted by one of the advisor from academic partnership and he used to call me frequently until I applied for the UTA. But, I have to go through all the process. It took almost 3 months as I had my degree from out of the country and they didn’t moved my application forward until they got my official transcript, even though I had done all the prerequisites here in a community college. I had almost gave up but the guy kept on pushing me until I was properly admitted to the school. But, the article says “direct admit” so I was confused.- University of Texas at Arlington Fall 2020 Cohort
