  1. Thanks for the response. I have been working for the big 2 dialysis companies for many years, all I feel with them is that I am a hired gun anyway. Professional behavior and patient safety are paramount in importance to me.
  2. Hey, any updates on this topic? I'm becoming more interested in doing travel acute dialysis. Wondering if it's stable? Considering Fresenius travel. I need to provide insurance coverage for family. Seems like any agency doesn't provide quality insurance? Please correct me if I'm wrong. Money is important.
  3. Has anyone else been considering this?
  4. Anyone on here have experience creating a petition? I believe that in these critical times that we nurses should all have licenses that cross all state lines. All states should be immediately entered into the Nursing Licensure Compact. The reasoning for not being part of NLC for any state in this day and age mostly revolves around money. Require an online state law session, and be done with it.
  5. Ha, not only a dispensary employee, but a dispensary pharmacist.
  6. Thanks for the replies. I guess it's mostly a cash grab. If I find out more information, it will be updated here. Next call is to doctor that does the patient certification. Hopefully I won't be exposed to cannabis via the telephone.
  7. My question is related to what can be done with certification. I was not referring to using the medicine for oneself. I medicate many diabetics with insulin, so am I exposing myself to insulin? What if an RN tests positive for insulin!? No, my question relates to RN certification as cannabis nurse.
  8. That's an informative website. My concern is after getting certified, what can we do with it?
  9. I have been exploring the possibilities of becoming a cannabis nurse, or aka medical marijuana nurse. There are some programs that claim to certify RNs. I approach cautiously because I am considering the actual possibilities within an emerging field. My question is what is the career path? Would this just be a sideline? Is there any money to be made (sorry but that's important). I recently started asking around at the local PA dispensary, spoke to pharmacist. She was confused as to what an RN role would look like. I am both excited and confused when examining the options. Is there anyone here who has any actual experience as a cannabis RN?
