    Sign prescription for MD?

This is just one of many issues at the ER, I think I am going to be on my way out. You are right on all of that- makes it a very uncomfortable work environment when you are regularly expected to do stuff like that.

    Sign prescription for MD?

It’s just a ridiculous pain in the butt instead of having someone just sign their own name! Yes I saw that a article! But like you said she wasn’t forging his name at least! you would think it’s a no brainer right?!

    Sign prescription for MD?

I think so too- I was trying to find hard proof of that somewhere. I couldn’t find it on the Tx BON site

    Sign prescription for MD?

That is exactly what I'm thinking- I brought it to the attention of someone and am waiting to hear back about it. Thank you. Thank you- it literally prints out 3 feet from his desk- he just doesn't feel like it, so now "everyone" just does it for him and I'm a weirdo because I don't want to and I'm not going to.

So is it allowed for an RN to sign their name and write the MD's name?

Who wants to hire a graduate nurse at 55?

Move to west texas and you'll get a job in a heartbeat

    Sign prescription for MD?

That's a good idea thank you. I'm just thinking I don't want to raise hell if it is legal for an MD to delegate that

    Sign prescription for MD?

Yes, he does it on the computer, it prints out. Then I need to bring the patient their prescription and discharge paperwork. He pretty much disappears by the time it has printed to go watch tv or sleep. Instead of "bothering" him, the ER nurses just sign it for him and he expects it. He is just being lazy.
