Is disclosing a mental health record that awful of a thing to do?
Taking a prescription as prescribed is not the same thing as impairment at all, not legally or literally. So that does not make sense. So hospitals and nursing boards do not use MRO's or take legal prescriptions into account? That was my question. Impairment again does not fall in with that. Who is it that believes taking a prescribed medicine is impairment? You? BON? I just find it very hard to believe that every single nurse in this country is not on any controlled medications. Nurses are people and using controlled medications appropriately is not a moral deficiency as so many want to believe. No alcohol when not on shift either then I suppose. Not that I even drink. I'm willing to bet that is not an issue... I might as well just quit school. Fml

Disclosure of expunged juvenile records?
On criminal background check for both nursing programs and licensure, is it required that expunged juvenile misdemeanor(s) be reported? My understanding is that expunged records are sealed. I have passed many FBI background checks for concealed handgun permits in Oregon and Utah without a mention of any sealed records. Can anyone elaborate on this?

OHSU Acc Bacc/Acc Bacc to DNP 2020 Cohort
Thanks. For those that stated they applied to the PMHNP track, those dates are only 2 weeks away which is why I thought perhaps some people may have been contacted. Which confirmation email, NursingCAS or OHSU? I recieved a confirmation from both though I dont recall a detailed timeline being included. I'll go check again. Ya, my email from ohsu confirming that my application was recieved only really says that "only those chosen for an interview will be contacted via phone or email."

Oregon Health & Science University (OHSU) ABSN 2020
Hi everyone. I applied to the ABSN-DNP (PMHNP) track. Ncas verified transcripts in late December. Does anyone know when notifications of admission offers go out? My assumption is March 1st or later based on the interview dates (Feb 4, 5, 12 for PMHNP and Feb 24, 25 ABSN) Once offered admission, how long do you have to complete the Compliance checks and testing? All I can find on their site is "prior to start date of first term".

The process is incredibly confusing! I'm glad I'm not alone in that. Thanks for the info. I read somewhere that PMHNP was not included in the deadline extension. Of course I cant find where I read that, but it's in my head. EDIT: I found it lol. The notification of deadline moving to Jan 20 was on the SON Facebook page. I've attached a photo of the announcement. But it does not include PMHNP

OHSU Acc Bacc/Acc Bacc to DNP 2020 Cohort
I should add that I too recieved a confirmation email from OHSU that my application had arrived and was being sent to the review committee. This email arrived on 12/27/19. And in my last post I meant to say my app was submitted mid December, verified by NCAS literally 2 hours later. If anyone can shed any light on my 2 questions posted in my previous post I would be super grateful!!

OHSU Acc Bacc/Acc Bacc to DNP 2020 Cohort
Hi everyone! I applied to the ABSN-DNP PMHNP track at the Portland campus. Im an OR resident. My application and transcripts were verified back in late November. I have not heard anything yet but I am really hopeful. I have quite a bit of years of employment experience in direct patient care. The majority of my work has been with the severe and persistenty mentally ill population, both in an inpatient medical unit and outpatient care setting. So a question I have is what interview do the ABSN-DNP applicants attend? The ABSN interview dates (Feb 24ish) or the specific graduate program dates listed on OHSU site? I ask this because technically the ABSN portion of the ABSN-DNP track is undergrad/postbacc. I'm assuming that the ABSN-PMHNP applicants interview on Feb 4, 5, 12. So I would expect to hear somewhat soon? Especially given the fact that midwifery applicants were notified on 1/9 of interviews on 1/24 (2 weeks). Does anyone know specifically when the compliance documents and materials are required to be submitted (if granted admission)? All I can find is "by the 1st week of the term". If notifications of admission go out in March, and summer matriculation occurs in late June, I'm assuming you have between March and June to submit the compliance documents and medical records. But if anyone knows more specifically I would appreciate it. Good luck everyone! If anyone can shed any light on my questions I would be very grateful!
